Terrible experience. I rang to confirm a prescription. They said they had it and would be ready in an hour. I go there a hour later, for staff to tell me they didn't receive the prescription and that I should call my Dr. I called my doctor's office and they tell me that Walgreens had sent a receipt that they had recieved it 2hrs ago! Ridiculous. I told pharmacy staff and they said it wasn't in their system. So they called my Dr office to resend it. I was there for an hour, I still dont have the medication. I rang my doctors office to send it to rite aid. I'm never using Walgreens on 20th again. This is not the first time this has happened

Tyler is an excellent pharmacist. But most technicians and other pharmacists are slow , unhelpful and not interested in working

This is one of the worst pharmacies I've ever been to. There's a woman pharmacist that works there who is so incredibly rude and short tempered, it's no wonder they can't keep consistent pharmacy employees. Every time I go there is somebody new working the pharmacy counter, and they have no idea what they're doing. The lines aren't usually very long, but I still end up spending an extra 10-20 minutes of waiting. If the line is 3 or more people I just leave because there's no telling how long you'll be standing there, just waiting for rude customer service. In fact, I'll never go to another Walgreens for anything. Too many other choices.

I've been here over an hour waiting for an already filled prescription. They are completely disorganized.

Photo department says that it's open until 10pm but it's currently 6pm and they're refusing to take a passport photo? Go elsewhere.

The most incompetent pharmacy I've ever experienced. I'm not one to take the time to write something negative about a business but my experiences with this business has been nothing but horrible. In the span of 3 days I was on hold for over 3 hours combined, given multiple different answers from multiple employees still with no solution. I've been dealing with this particular pharmacy for the last month and can not believe the responses I get from them for any inquiries. They all have the same response, "it's not my fault etc". No accountability, no sense of urgency or genuine concern for handling the matter of medication. They act as if this is the DMV and they have immunity from criticism or accountability. Find another pharmacy, this establishment should be sued.

TLDR: Joseph the Pharm Intern was excellent at diffusing my annoyance. He was super professional, empathetic, and had an excellent beside manner and was doing everything he could to help - you guys are lucky to have him on staff!?Called up around midday to confirm my medication would be ready, since my Dr called it in earlier that morning - was on hold for more than 20 mins just for them to spend timing “confirming” they had the medication.. they confirmed and I was grateful bc I know all medical industries are busy right now.?They told me it would be ready within 2 hours - perfect! I based my schedule around picking it up. I decided to give them some extra time bc last time I ended up waiting when I went to pick up.. so I got there literally more than 5 hours later - I went up to the counter to pay/pick up and the counter-staff tells me “it’ll be filled in 20 mins”.I’m sorry, what?? I planned this trip into my day and gave you 3 hours additional on top of the “2 hours” it would take to fill.? I’d understand if it was delayed by half an hour or even an hour - I’m a patient person. But >5 hours later and still not ready? Please don’t make incorrect ”ready for pick up” times if you’re this disorganized. There was really no point in my spending >20mins on the phone earlier to avoid this exact kind of situation.

Do NOT go here for your prescriptions!! Extremely rude pharmacy staff. They gave me an attitude when I went in person to ask about my prescription. They told me to call about my prescription since it's severely backordered. I asked if they can please call me when it is available since I really needed it. NO ONE answers the phone. The phone rings, sounds like someone picks up, then they put me on hold for almost 20 mins before I have a chance to ask a question!!

The pharmacists are helpful but all of them should not go on lunch at 1 time. Walked to get here because I didn't want to wait 30m the other night to get prescription filled while here. If everyone is taking a lunch break, you should send out a notice to the people you have told your prescriptions are ready. Instead of, your prescriptions are ready but we'll all be gone for 45m. Happy waiting. And the lines are always ridiculous now that they took over for Pharmaca.not happy ... and I'm not the only 1. 5 others pissed and frustrated.

The Santa Monica Pharmacy at 1932 Wilshire is sooo dirty. It needs a deep cleaning and a renovation. Just a cleaning would go a long way.. I don't want to touch anything or breathe the air it that pharmacy. Looking for an alternative soon.

Man everyone has such harsh reviews.. This is my go to pharmacy store. Everyone at the pharmacy is nice, informative and easy to work with. I’ve had on-going prescriptions filled here and had my last booster shot here. The staff is professional and kind. I’ve also had a great experience with the woman in the cosmetics department! All I’ll say is that most stores, especially pharmacies are having shortages and don’t have as many people working right now. But patient & kind, they are doing their best.

After getting a text from Walgreens about getting a COVID booster, I walked into this branch. I waited in line until I got to the pharmacist. For every question I asked, she kept referring me to the website. I wanted to know if this branch had Pfizer or Moderna, whether it took walk-ins, what was the current rule for my minor children. The pharmacist refused to answer questions and kept trying to tell me to look it all up online. I prefer to get my medical advice from a professional person, not an automated line or a website, particularly when it involves a specific location such as this one at 20th and Wilshire Blvd. Also, I have repeatedly found that the posted online information was not accurate as to the individual stores and was not updated on a timely basis. These are serious health issues and Walgreens has failed miserably.
