1910 Ocean Way, Santa Monica“My husband and I stayed there for our 10th anniversary and we could not have been more pleased. Upon arrival the reception clerk not only upgraded us (due to our anniversary) but also sent up a bottle of bubbly that was waiting for us when we walked in to our room. When he heard we had three kids he gave us fun sand toys for them and when we arrived at dinner that night (at the hotel restaurant) he had noted that it was our anniversary and they made the whole night special. We felt like the entire staff went out of their way to make our stay exceptional and it is still one of our favorite memories. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an excellent and memorable vacation to stay here. You will not be disappointed! You will be wowed.”

1 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica“Simply one of the best hotel experiences you can have in California. The team at Shutters treats you like family even prior to your arrival and tends to your every need once there. The base rooms while not large are warmly decorated and cozy. The bathrooms are well designed and have all the accoutrements you could need. The location of the hotel cannot be beat as it sits right on the beach and a short walk to Santa Monica Pier as well as a short bike ride to Venice Beach as well. The food and drink program at the hotel are top notch as is the service in all of their restaurants. The concierge team are simply second to none. A must stay if you find yourself out in Santa Monica or even Los Angeles. It’s worth the drive.”
“very rich in its information. Could feel it could be curated differently and more immersive, but either way I learned so much about the history of aviation, important people who pioneered it. the video about Boeing and Douglas was well worth the price of admission”
“Fantastic barber shop. I would highly recommend Frankie, the owner. You know it’s a good haircut when your barber takes his time and spends an hour + cutting your hair. I’ve only been twice, but have gotten a fantastic cut each time. Not only is Olympia a barbershop, it’s also an art gallery! It’s definitely a cool experience getting a haircut in an art gallery, getting to view new art every time you come in for a cut. Would highly recommend.”
“Santa Monica Pier is a lively and iconic destination that offers a little bit of everything, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area. From its historic charm to its modern attractions, the pier perfectly blends relaxation and fun.
The atmosphere is vibrant, with plenty of activities to enjoy. You can take a ride on the famous Ferris wheel for breathtaking coastal views, explore the games and rides at Pacific Park, or simply stroll along the boardwalk and enjoy the ocean breeze. The street performers and live music add to the energy, creating a welcoming environment for visitors of all ages.
There’s a variety of food to enjoy, whether you’re craving a quick snack or a sit-down meal with fresh seafood. Watching the sun set over the Pacific from the pier is an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to end your visit.”
