Everyone was very nice but they tried to gouge us with an $800 dollar bill in a very shady fashion, adding extra items onto the bill that were not discussed with the vet.Be aware that once the vet leaves the room another assistant will return with a tablet listing all the various medications and various add ons without the vet there to guide you through all the medicine names and methodologies previously discussed. You are then left to uncheck the items you do not want, which is difficult when you aren’t familiar with the medicines. It seemed like they were hoping we would cave and eat the entire bill. Not a fan of this kind of service and it needs to be addressed.

They are part of the VCA network but will scam you for a “dog visit” appointment first before they are willing to set up a nail trim appointment. SCAM. What ever happened to doing what’s right for the customer / dog.

I love VCA but this location on Main Street is horrific! They charged me $60 for an appointment I could not make, and I cancelled 24 hours before! Their management is not top quality. They put me on hold for 20 minutes and hung up on me If they had this info of charging 1/2 what they charge for an appointment on their website or in their SMS notifications it would be ok, and I would eat this obsessive charge, but they didn’t and had the nerve to hang up on me when I called, and send me a bill!!

Thank you to the women of VCA for taking care of my fur baby on such short notice. I called this location, because my regular vet was closed, immediately after my dog got an eye injury during a routine grooming appointment and the staff here was super friendly, attentive, efficient and transparent. They were able to see us immediately and took good care of him.Puffy and I are grateful.

These people are some of the kindest, sweetest, most caring I've ever come across. I am so happy we left VCA Lincoln for this place. I appreciate all the love you give my pets and all the hard work. Thank you a million times to the moon!

I have avoided VCA's after an experience at the Lincoln (Venice) location and the fact they seemed to be buying every vet hospital they can get their hands on. I was informed by a friend that each location is independently operated and that she took her elderly dog here. I could tell my mom's cat was extremely ill and made an appointment to see Dr. Beerman. In short, she explained what our options were for tests, etc., and in language that my mom could understand. Sophie was extremely thin, so we opted for x-rays & blood tests. A couple of days later, Dr. Beerman confirmed she was very ill and what her problem was. She gave me all the options we could consider and what the results of each might be. She was thorough but also very empathetic and caring. My mom wanted Sophie not to suffer any longer, and we decided to put her to sleep the next day. Dr. Beerman was off, but Dr. Martinez had an opening and made the experience as relaxing as she could in such a hard circumstance. The ladies up front are awesome (woohoo Emma), the techs are awesome, and the doctors are awesome. I'm fostering right now, but when I end up as a foster fail, I will be going here.

I decided to try this VCA - it's new, close to my home and has a fear free room for cats with Churu treats! The experience was great! From Emma at the front desk, Jasmine the tech asst and Dr Martinez was very informative and up to date on arthritis injections etc. Very good vibes all the way around plus I'll be coming back with my other fur baby for an exam. Very happy!

Took my cat there for an emergency - the scheduling was easy and we got an appt on the same day. Both the doctor and vet technician are patient and professional, and we noticed my cat was less stressed than usual. The price is reasonable compared to other animal hospitals in the area. A smooth experience overall, and we are considering switching to them for annual exams. There's also a parking lot across the street.

Dr. Beermann is so caring and has been the best vet I've taken my dog to thus far. I've moved around a bit, so he's had about 5-10 different vets in his three years of life. I recently took my dachshund/chihuahua pup to Dr. Beermann after noticing a lump on his leg that seemingly appeared overnight. After inspecting it, she carefully explained her suspicions and promptly had us run tests to ensure we acted quickly on whatever was in his body. After discovering that it was a bacterial infection, she prescribed him antibiotics. Though they were working to shrink the lump, he started to vomit multiple times a day. Dr. Beermann spoke with me on the phone and ran through options, all while considering efficacy, cost, and my pup's weak stomach. We ultimately had several back-and-forth calls and he's now on a special diet to help his stomach get back to normal. Dr. Beermann is so kind and the vet techs were also very nice, as was the reception. My dog tends to lean more aggressively (doesn't bite, but growls and shows his teeth) and he was shockingly more receptive than expected to be checked here. Especially with a little peanut butter. Thank you, VCA Santa Monica Main Street team! Beau and I greatly appreciate it.

I just want to express my deepest gratitude to the doctors and staff at VCA. Their compassion towards my very sick dog touched my heart. Emma was especially empathetic to my situation. They helped me through a very heart-wrenching situation and it is something I will never forget. Please patronize this location if you want good care and empathy towards your furry loved ones.

I say this with ZERO hesitancy…THE VCA on Main is THE LITERAL BEST Veterinarian Clinic in LA. My wife and I have 3 Cats and we foster/rescue every three months. In total, we have rescued and adopted out 25 cats to their forever homes. The VCA Main staff has been beyond MAGNIFICENT!!! Knowledgeable, helpful, kind, compassionate…just the very best people. The Veterinarians are both professional and empathetic to a level we have NEVER experienced…even with boutique/concierge veterinarian services. Our praise for VCA Main could go on for pages BUT the greatest compliment I can bestow is that I absolutely and utterly TRUST them with our fuzzy babies without question!!!

As a veterinary assistant I always tell people, you have a right to know how the nurses treat your baby "in the back". As a VA I can confirm that some techniques of VA's are old school and dated with being rough with unnecessary aggressive restraint and wrestling making the pets even more anxious or even combative next visit. Enter Fear Free. A newish concept that is embraced by VCA and pushed forward to grow as the entire hospital staff here is Fear Free. (please check out the Fear Free web site to know what this entails!) The whole concept of FF is designed to make your pet less stressed. From warm towels and treats to a private entrance for anxious pets or a cats only room for anxious or adventurous kitties. All of which this hospital has. I don't trust anyone with my babies. But I trust the entire staff here. Highly recommend, especially if you have anxious babies!

Extremely friendly. Had to put my baby down, and they were so warm and empathetic.
