Today at UCLA Hospital, I was a patient about to undergo surgery. I had already changed into patient clothing and was ready for surgery. Before the surgery, I had already paid part of the surgery fee, but Ms. M from the hospital's accounting department told them to stop my surgery if I didn't pay in full. Has anyone encountered this kind of bad behavior? Contact me.

I agree with the below review. I always have to wait when I come here. They call you, check your weight and stuff then you sit in a room waiting forever. I've been coming to my doctor here for like 5-6 years and the wait time just gets worse every visit.

With UCLA Health it's basically impossible to book online. If you do book online, they'll cancel your appointment and try to get you into their endless phone tag loop which will end with you being booked with another doctor than the one you intended to see (even though said doctor supposedly has availability). How I miss NYC and the Mt Sinai system. I have no idea how this clown car of health system has won awards and accolades.

Giving this facility 2 stars because there is always a 45 minute delay to see the primary doctor. I understand sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances - but this has been ongoing since 2019 on every single visit. Sadly I had to walk out today without seeing the doctor. I will be looking for a new primary who respects my time as much as I respect theirs.

The office said they took my health insurance, they did not, and I got slapped with a 600$ bill for a physical, which should cost 0 as preventative health. What a great reward for trusting UCLA! Neither customer service nor billing were able to offer anything other than "an apology," even with the email thread as evidence. So cool!Edit: It's been three weeks since UCLA's reply below, I filled out an online form with the link they provided, and no one has reached out.

I am tired of being treated like a medical #. I am rarely if ever addressed by my name, I’m never contacted about my test results. Maybe medicine has just become a very impersonal business!

I've written a few times on Dr. Arash Nikoukari's page but decided to post directly to the UCLA page. Link at end for Dr's direct page. Read how he invested his time and energy into my health. I credit him with me changing my habits and lifestyle. I've seen Dr. Nikoukari for over 10 years and in that time he has become an integral part of my health, a confidant, and a friend. This review is focused on the 2020 visit. In the past few months this year, I had used the video and in-person calls for health related issues. When scheduling a health call it was exactly as what you'd expect, quick, convenient, and the familiarity of having your doctor know details with all your chart information available. The in-person visit is actually really efficient. You go to the office and there's a table saying you'd need to wait, the staff come by and ask you Covid related questions, and then your whisked you're the room. You don't even need to wait in the lobby. All procedures are done in the room including blood draws. Of course, you go to the restroom still for urine samples, haha. Overall I like what they've done and had no issues whatsoever. If you're looking to change your primary doctor, you can't go wrong with Dr. Nik.

Came here for my vaccine just last week. I've been to the clinic before and it has always been a pleasant experience. The clinic is clean and both times, it has been pretty empty. You get in and out pretty quickly. The only thing that's kind of hard about this place is the parking. I believe there's a parking structure underneath but I don't think it's validated. So you have to look for street metered parking. Given it's in a part of Santa Monica that's pretty popular, it was hard for me to find parking both times. Be sure to factor in parking when planning your time.

Dr. Alan C. Lee is a dangerous doctor. Wrote off my wife's complaints to "hormones". Ignored labs and recommendations by specialists. Prescribed wrong meds and diagnosis wasn't even close. Nice, chatty guy but stay away!!

First and foremost, this has nothing to do with Dr vigil. At least I don't think so. He's been my doctor for years and I think he's compassionate and kind.I have already filed grievance with UCLA regarding my experience with this person but I figured it deserved a Yelp review as well. KIMBERLY answered the phone when I needed help the most. KIMBERLY had attitude before I even told her my name. I barely have a voice, and she treated me as if I was yelling at her. I tried to explain the situation and I asked to speak to one of the managers there just so I could get what I needed done without using my non-existent voice over and over again. (I'm trying to be on vocal rest right now.)I had just experienced a terrible time at an urgent care after being told by my doctor that I should go to get a chest x-ray. It was a terrible experience and I was panicking. KIMBERLY met me with nothing but attitude, speculation, and pure disrespect. There was a zero consolation, compassion or kindness in anyway. I was begging for her help. I was not rude to her in any way. I was simply explaining the situation.Apparently, she was having a really bad day, or she hated me for no reason. She thought she hung up, but in reality this woman is too stupid to hang up the phone. So I heard her and EVERYTHING she said about me. I am someone she doesn't know, has no reason to disrespect or hate, when I heard her complaining about me to my doctor. It turns out my doctor WAS in the office and she proceeded to tell him LIES.I also heard her tell the rest of the office "not to transfer me to management" because I was "trippin" and "yelling" over the phone. That's interesting because I have laryngitis. How am I yelling over the phone? I heard HER YELL about me and complain to her co-workers about me for over 5 minutes straight. I couldn't believe what I was listening to.I immediately hung up the phone as soon as I realized she was done talking about me, and I called right back. I told her that I heard everything she said because she didn't hang up the phone. I told her I would be reporting her. She responded with what you can imagine. She acted as if I was the one who was wrong and disrespectful and told me she would no longer be taking my phone calls. That's interesting. She's the one that answers the phone. In no way did I disrespect her- not even close. She felt the need to disrespect me and speak poorly about me instead of help me. I am insanely sick. I have never been this sick in my whole life. I just wanted help. All she did was give me judgment, and as far as I'm concerned gross negligence and disgusting behavior. As I said, I have already filed a grievance against her. And I hope to God she's held accountable.Miss KIMBERLY please remember that you work at a doctor's office. I don't know who hired you or why they hired you. But I hope you no longer work there for much longer. People in my position and other sick people deserve respect and compassion. You showed me neither. And for that I will show you neither. Have a nice life.

I have been here 3 times for PT after my surgery. Cindy Graham is her name and she is great. She understands your situation by listening and then developing a course of action. When she taught me the exercises that I needed to do, she made sure that I understood. She even used some sensors to make sure that I could see that I was doing them correctly. All in all, a great place for PT.

High quality medical services, but consistent problems with billing and general administrative needs.
Usually, I skip running routine medical visits through my insurance and pay cash upfront. However when I would do this at UCLA, they would give me a set price that I would pay. Then, they would give me a bill for double or triple that amount months later, because "the insurance adjusted the price." Stop running all the visits through the insurance, and then billing me many hundreds of dollars later for small routine visits. Then whenever I need administrative assistance, I have go to through hold on many departments until someone is able to discuss this issue. Overall, the medical services aren't worth the excessive billing and confusing administration.

DO NOT COME HERE. They told me that I was covered by insurance, and was not at all. Now I am dealing with numerous phone calls from my insurance and the clinic. Charged me $400 per session- NO JOKE. I never write reviews, but I feel incredibly inclined to warn whoever is coming here to watch out. Not worth it. Go somewhere who values your time and looks out for how much it will cost you. Unprofessional, will never return.
