My wife and I inherited a Edgar Payne work of the Grand Canyon . We talked about selling it for one and a half years. We almost consigned it several times to other art galleries, but did not like the process . We were excited when we found Steven Stern as he put us at ease with his extensive knowledge and expertise, after sending photos of the work Steven made a strong and fair offer (without consigning it !) and we sent the painting. We felt very assured of his honesty and integrity. He maintains a very high google rating ***** and for a good reason do not be afraid to send a mutually agreed upon work to him. You will not be disappointed.

If you are looking to buy early California Plein Air paintings - you could not find a more knowledgeable person. Steve is a really nice person and very fair in his dealings both buying and selling. The art he has sells is incredible. He regularly sells to museum and large collections. I highly recommend.
