Bob and Hill were excellent! Great service and recommendations. Such wonderful vibe to the store. I lived in DC for 8 years and the LA store is what I wish DC had been. The staff understands service, their products, and fit.

Great shop! I lived in LA when great men's shops were plentiful. Moved east in the 90's. As times change most of the men's shops closed. Discovered Sid Mashburn on line and shopped the DC shop a few times. Very nice. Moved back to So Cal a few years ago. Gave up on LA and was going to Newport for clothes. I ordered a couple things on line last year from Mashburn and decided to visit the Brentwood shop. I knew it was small but I was hopeful. Let me start with the look. How about a diminutive Paul Stewart or that outstanding men's shop in BH that closed a few years back? Yep, Mashburn is it!The people are tremendous! Chris is the GM. He knows his stuff and makes shopping easy. Vin is the expert tailor. It's all about the fit and they nail it every time. They now have my measurements on file and the buying is so easy I go nuts from time to time because the clothes are outstanding. Go to Sid Mashburn to find great clothes and terrific service. You won't be disappointed!

I discovered Sid Mashburn online and was pleased to find they have this store, which happens to be in my old stomping grounds. I'm attending a wedding and I don't anticipate having to wear a suit more than once this year. I explained this to Billy immediately upon entering the store, along with a caveat that I wasn't about to spend a few grand for something I might wear once a year. He found me exactly what I was looking for, in my size, didn't try to up-sell me. I had a perfectly tailored suit ready to go two weeks later. When I picked it up, I couldn't help grabbing a tie, a pocket square, and a few pairs of socks -- I love everything in the store. And the guys who helped me this time were just as friendly and helpful as Billy, with no pressure and as much time for me as I needed despite my small purchase. I've recommended this store to my sons as I'd recommend it to anyone in the market for quality menswear without attitude. Great experience. You guys made me look better than I should. Thank you!

Best customer experience in the business. Billy recently helped me out with a suit that needed some alterations before a wedding. I always feel taken care of here.

I couldn't have picked a better place to get my wedding suit from than here. The entire process from buying to measuring, and fitting went smoothly and quickly. The suit itself is of very high quality. Special thanks to Hill for all the help and communication throughout. Highly recommended.

Sid's clothes are always very good. The quality for the price is good. The reason for the 2 stars is for the lacking customer service at the Brentwood store. I walked into the store and there was no one else but me. Two store clerks where there staring at their cell phones and none raised there heads to say hello or welcome. As matter of fact they seemed annoyed I walked in. Perhaps disrupting what they were doing. I started looking for some pants and I could have asked for help but I became so aware that they felt I was intruding that I waited for them to ask the simple question "can I help you find something?" Nope, nothing zip. These two dudes did not want to assist or be disrupted. I left the store and nothing. Wow what letdown from an shopping experience. I later found their online store and ordered what what I had seen they had at the store. For sure I will never walk into that particular store again.

Great clothes, awful peopleWas recently introduced to the brand via the online Winter Sale. Identified an item on the website and noted that they discouraged returns or exchanges, so I went to the local store (Brentwood) in an effort to either see the item in person or match the color scheme and sizing as accurately as possible before purchasing online.Upon arriving at the store and engaging with, presumably, the store manager, showing him the items I was eyeing, they did not have the exact pieces, but he shared a similar color palate and fabric to get me comfortable. He then assured me that, in spite of the website, if I purchased the item on the website and didn’t like the color or sizing, they would be more than accommodating in the store if I needed to return or exchange the item. I thought this was refreshing, and with that in mind, proceeded to make the purchase online. The item arrived in great condition but was extremely to small, so I brought the item to the same store (Sid Mashburn-Brentwood) where the store manager assured me that despite the online descriptions, they would be happy to exchange or return online purchases. Specifically, THIS online purchase, that he himself looked at with me in the store as I attempted to match the color scheme, fabric, and sizing before I purchased the item online.Upon initial request to exchange the item for a larger size, the same store manager that I’d engaged with before let me know that they no longer carried the item. I then asked for a refund OR store credit, as I did like the item and anticipated shopping at Sid Mashburn again in the future. The manager proceeded to ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE DID in fact guide me to purchase the item online, in spite of the online guidance of no exchanges and returns, but was no longer going to honor that exchange and that I was out of luck. He then proceeded to characterize himself as a “lowly retail employee” that could no longer help, even though he was the person that pressured me to buy from the online site by providing assurance that I could return or exchange the item in store if it wasn’t as desired. After a few minutes of back and forth, he then “came around” and offered to provide me with a store credit, although this offer was “out of policy”. After a few seconds of typing, he then confirmed that an email with the credit would be coming to my email shortly. NOPE, here we are, a day later, STILL NO EMAIL WITH A STORE CREDIT and he didn’t even give me back the pants that I bought that were to small (I.e. he LIED about giving me a store credit in order to end the exchange). In conclusion, decent clothes, but the people that work there appear to behave similar to “used car salesman”, in my opinion. Shopper beware that the Store Manager, and presumably Associates as well, will do anything to secure a sale, even if that means telling a lie, acknowledging that lie, then telling another lie to move on to their next sale.

OK picked up some Levi's 501 jeans in a color I just couldn't find anywhere "Ecru-dyed" and I looked for awhile for the right color I spoke to Billy who ordered 2 pairs for me to try on since they didn't stock them so I could make sure of the fit and color! 5 stars for Billy and Sid Mashburn.

Wonderful shop with an excellent collection. Even better, the service was great. Chris did a fantastic job walking me through options for my lifestyle, helping me find great fits for my build and look. I also never felt like anything was being pushed on me or I was being upsold. Just a great experience!

This store brings to life the brand that Sid Mashburn envisions. I first found Sid Masburn on the internet but it all made sense when I walked into the brick and mortar experience. The associates at the store are all fantastic and always have great ideas. From basic ties or that sportcoat that stands alone in your wardrobe, they have it all. I am constantly getting compliments on things purchased here, and it's always a pleasure to pop in and see what's new. The customer service from alterations to returns is outstanding as well. Highly recommend guys check this place out - if they can make me look good, there's no limit to what they can do!

Chris, the manager, runs a really good store. The guys are easy going, attentive, and know their stuff. I don't make it out to Santa Monica as often as I used to, but if I'm in the neighborhood I always stop by. As to the quality of the brand, I'm down to owning just four suits these days, but four of them (the four I wear the most) are Mashburn suits. I love the Atkinsons Irish poplin ties too.

One of my favorite brands hands down. Superb products and customer service with every visit. Would give 6 stars if possible! The team at the Brentwood location is stellar. Will be back again and again.
