Nastiest hotel, if you can even call it that. Should be shutdown for many violations, how do they stay open. Broken window screens, nothing else is kept up. Add to this is a rude staff who will give you bad short answers but never take care of the problem. Stay away like the plague.

I am almost certain this gem has closed permanently. They were closed when I visited about a year a half ago. No one answers phone.

My favorite place in the world - I've been around the world and I have to say my dream place is the Seaview in sweet Santa Monica. Rosa and owner John are two of the nicest people I've ever met. Best located hotel for the price in the country. Places next door cost 4X more, but 4X less soul. Why is it temp closed? I was ready to book for a winter vacay.

Great location!
But cleanliness needs to be reviewed! Dirty towels, noises...
I recommend a hotel a little further away, and paying 15 dollars for parking in Santa Monica,

It is very simple but comfortable and very close to the beach. I recommend it.

I'm planning a trip to L.A. in April 2022 and looked forward to staying at Seaview Inn again after my stay in February 2019 BEFORE the hateful pandemic. I'm so sad to find this historic motel is now closed. One man is responsible for all the pain suffered by American's and not when two years ago he had the power to stop a wild fire. I will miss this great place and the owner and woman (Who's name I can't remember - Sorry) who were so kind and suggested I "Hurry and get to the beach! You'll miss the sunset!" I got in late afternoon when I checked in. I made it to see the gorgeos sunset! The beach is steps away and "Cora's" historic eatery is adjacent to Seaview Hotel.Grateful I chose to stay here before disaster hit.Blessings to the owner and staff of Seaview Inn. Much health and love in the futuresDebbie, Tijeras NM.

Very good location, very spacious rooms, bathroom perhaps tighter with a small shower but enough. The woman at the reception speaks Spanish, it has free outdoor parking. The terrace at the top is very cool. Don't have breakfast at the bar next door, it's very expensive, poor service and horrible coffee (but it has nothing to do with the hotel). Ask the woman to recommend other places. Very close to the Santa Monica Pier and not far from Venice Beach. We really liked that when we left the room, there was another one that was being cleaned so thoroughly that they even cleaned the fans. I would recommend it to everyone.

By far the most affordable hotel that is just a block away from the ocean. Very nice staff and the rooms are new and very nicely decorated. I highly recommend this hotel for the dream get away.

If you want to be treated badly by woman who think you owe them everything, then this place is for you. If you have any self worth its best to avoid this place. You have to prove you paid online, then the room wasnt ready. They do not sanatize for covid as they had a messy room ready in 15min. Then they have an attitude that you can stay here or leave with no refunds while risking your health, pathetic

Absolutely rude staff, woken up at 2:00am because we were to loud, even tho we were in the middle of sleeping. When checking out the lady at the front desk gave us so much attitude and said we were being to much and partying. Never staying here again.
