Room was dirty, kinda musty smelling. Packing out stuff up the morning we were leaving I found a bed bug on one of my bags. I had to do a Google search to confirm it was what I thought it was . Not only am I pissed we have to go through the process of making sure these don’t enter our home. I feel like paying for them is a rip off.
Other than that . Cute room. Very roomy. Good location. Staff was nice.

Great Base for a stay in Los Angeles. Inbetween Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Five minute walk to the beach. Situated on Main St, so loads of food and coffee places to try. Plus Jamesons pub for a nice drink.

We booked this hotel based on the positive reviews on Google and unfortunately we were very disappointed. On our 14-day tour, this hotel was by far the most expensive and at the same time the worst.
The booked family suite for 6 people with full appliances is suitable for a maximum of 4 people. Once the sofa bed is pulled out, you can hardly stand. There are only 4 chairs at the dining table and the advertised full appliances are non-existent, no spoon, no plate, no coffee...
The room was also very musty and we couldn't remove the bad smell even by airing it out.
The bathroom is past its best, the toilet is very wobbly.
As other reviews have already written, there is a lack of cleanliness, the whole room was poorly cleaned.
Absolutely no recommendation

What a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and convenient to the beach and restaurants. Ron who works the front desk was just awesome. So friendly and helpful when needed. This dog was so darling. We will stay there again.

We stayed at the Sea Shore Motel in October 2023 and loved it. The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a parking space and the location is great. You can walk to Santa Monica Pier or Venice Beach, there are restaurants nearby. There is seating outside including a parasol.
Walkability: Beach, cafes and restaurants nearby

My mom and I needed to be in Santa Monica for a week and this motel was one of the recommended stays. I generally veer away from motel's, and we were not let down. This place is small, charming and cute. What you see is what it is. There aren't many rooms, which is perfect. Check-in was a breeze and we were kindly greeted by the property pup. I started petting him, and he didn't want me to stop. They over many amenities even for the beach. Their rooms have actual locks and keys. Having room 7, we would get sunshine through the shutters for a few hours and it was glorious. One thing I loved about this place, no carpet! Our room had 2 double beds. I thought it was comfy, my mom didn't. Being that this was our home away from home for the week, we had things to place in the fridge and it was of good size to hold everything. We didn't know until later, but we could have asked for certain appliances, like a microwave, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom is of good size. The shower is...a shower. Water pressure was lacking, but it was hot. I'll take hot any day. We had a full circular table with 3 chairs. Honestly, I loved it. We weren't cramped at all. It was quiet at night as they closed the gate. The only night we heard revelers was a Saturday as there is a tavern or pub across the way. And it wasn't loud per say, just busy noise. Definitely grateful for closing of the gates at night, though. This place is in a prime location and walkable to many places to eat, CVS, local liquor store, and the beach. Once you park, you really don't have to leave. Which parking is free. Another plus of this place. After staying here a week and experiencing Santa Monica, I'm not sure how this place is not booked every night. Sure, it's slow season and I'm sure summer it's on and popping! I will for sure be back!

I've been here twice now while vacationing in and around the LA area. It's quite nice for a motel. Good beds, decent bathroom. The only thing is the bad water pressure in the shower.

I've stayed here every Christmas for quite a few years (over a decade) and it is something I look forward to, still, to this day, every year. It is family owned and affordable lodging in an amazing location. It is a few minutes walk to the beach and lots of interesting cafes and coffee shops along Main Street. While it is nice to come out and see my family, who live in Santa Monica, during the holiday season, it is hard to beat the experience of staying at the SeaShore motel and exploring the local area. Thanks to the family ownership of this establishment for keeping such a great locally-owned lodging option open for folks - it delights me ever year!Nearby activities: Great walking and window shopping and a quick walk to the beach and probably a bike rental - so much to enjoy in this area!Safety: I've always found it very safe and they close the gates at night.Walkability: Very walkable - this is maybe the most walkable place in Santa Monica - great cafes and food options along Main Street and a close walk to the beachFood & drinks: It is amazing and ever changing as places open and close on Main Street but from an early morning java at Groundworks, to a fresh made Omusubi at Sunny Blue to a lovely burger at Ashland Hill, there is no end to the culinary delights in this little section of Santa Monica

We have stayed here 3 times and just love it. The rooms are clean and there's a wonderful upstairs deck with patio furniture. It's within walking distance to the main attractions in Santa Monica, a close walk to the beach., a nice park across the street and awesome restaurants as close as across the street (Italian food and great ambiance). David at the front desk is a super nice guy and helped us get the perfect room. Thanks David!

We recently stayed for 2 nights at the Sea Shore Motel and enjoyed our stay. Highlight was definitely Akira the super star dog (Tom was ok too ?). We had opted to stay in the economy room (#C) as we knew we only needed a bed. This was a small room but met our needs. The motel is in a great spot, could probably do with some type of renovations as the room was dated. Room C was fine for a short stay, it was clean but a little worn and surprisingly quiet. Motel has free parking which was a bonus. Cheap and good value accomodation for a short stay. We would stay again if we were visiting Santa Monica. For the Aussies Tom (manager) likes Tim Tams.

The Sea Shore was a delight. Clean, quiet and good people. I would recommend it to everyone, except my enemies. ?
