Went to get my watch sized and remove two links. Guy recommended to take two links out and i said great and then he said add battery since it was dead. He then said it would be $70 and that I would have to leave it and he would call me when ready. That was crazy but I was already there. I later googled more info and it’s $5-$10 to remove a links and $20 max for a battery for watches. He made me take a photo of my watch before he kept it. Never heard from him, went back a week later. I asked why he didn’t call me he said “oh no one called you” knowing he’s the only one there……. Then I put it on and he said it fit and he said he charged the battery not even replaced the battery which was crazier to me. I left. Later on I saw the watch had the wrong time and wrong date. I couldn’t fix it because the clasp on the right is stuck….I cant change the time. I went back and he lied to me and said that Rolex watches always have the wrong time and that you just have to wear and it will adjust automatically. Mind you the watch is fake not even real so It works like a regular cheap watch not a Rolex. I Paid $50 for it AND I called Rolex store to confirm his story and they said that’s not true, you don’t buy a watch to have the wrong time. I wouldn’t recommend this location. I didn’t like the service, nor the repair, nor the over price.

It's the second time I'm shopping at Sea of Silver and I had to share my experience. The owner is extremely professional and kind, the variety of jewelry is phenomenally unique in reasonable prices, and service always provided with a big smile which makes a delightful experience. Highly recommended. Thanks again millions times.

I was referred by staff in Pandora store to repair my bracelet. When I was told the name I was happy..because I LOVE SILVER! Michael, the owner is such a nice man! He replaced my bracelet clasp with an easier opening clasp.( If you have a Pandora bracelet, you know how difficult it is,the clasps are to open! & I don't have time for that!) What a joy to see so much quality, beautiful silver jewelry. I purchased a couple of beautiful rings! I've been back to have other pieces repaired & had earrings made! Good craftsmanship. And I think the pricing is very reasonable.

I’ve been here two times. One time 3 years ago when I was visiting home from college and another when I moved back.
Just an overall great experience! The owner is very patient, kind, and helpful. For someone who likes to try on everything before buying, he was very patient and even recommended what looked better for me. I’ll most likely come here for any jewelry in the future even though it’s out of my way.

Such a beautiful store and history of being in Santa Monica and thriving. I went in to get assistance with untangling a necklace and Michael was beyond patient and kind in helping me! I highly suggest this artistic small business in the Santa Monica Place and hope people keep supporting the Sea of Silver!!!

Walked in and saw this ring. As he was getting it out of the case he asked what size? I slid the ring on my bfs finger and said 'this one!' We fist bumped and he knocked some dollars off the price. Wish I had gotten his name to tell him thanks...but thanks anyway!!!

Owner was super kind and helpful. Bought a very nice chain and pendant, and my friend bought some jewelry as well. The owner was very knowledgeable on all the jewelry he had, he even has jewelry he handmade himself, and offers to modify the jewelry you buy to any specific size. The best thing I brought home with me from my trip to LA is certainly the jewelry I bought here, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone for all of their jewelry needs.

visiting from Oahu, Hawaii I was unable to find anywhere on island to repair my silver turquoise ring that I had for 20 years unable to wear at least 8 years because no one in hawaii was able to fix it. The best part the ring was not going to be ready by the time I leave for home. Michael shipped it to me. I also was able to buy another ring as well and will continue to do because there is no other places in hawaii that sale's authentic American Indian turquoise rings. The last shop closed last year due to the effects of covid. Also knowing where my jewelry can be repair is a big plus for me. Thank you Micheal it was truly a blessing the day that i walked in and met you. I appreciate you.

He publicly scammed a customer on a video; and you can all see it, he sold a $25 silver bracelet for $855, no shame at alltiktok.com/t/ZTRGcrJUc

Owner sold me a ring for $180 was originally marked $320 & he stated this was a handmade ring from Israel. He even stated, "I want you to have something from Israel it's Hanukkah right now." After a Google Image Search I saw it on eBay for $35.

My teenage son has a silver chain that lost a clasp. I sent him to Sea of Silver 4/30/21 to have the clasp replaced and they charged him $48. When he returned home and showed me the receipt I was stunned. I couldn't believe they had charged him so much to replace a very small silver clasp. Anyone can go on Amazon and see how cheap those clasps are. They didn't even weld the clasp shut so several days later the clasp came off the chain. Fortunately, my son noticed that the clasp had come loose so he didn't lose the clasp or the chain. We returned to Sea of Silver a couple of weeks later (with his receipt) and I asked them to refund him his money. The owner offered to give him a discount on another piece of jewelry but he would not refund my son his money. We did not accept his offer (as we didn't want to give him any more money for jewelry) and left the store disappointed. In the middle of a pandemic I hate to criticize a small business as I know they must be having a difficult time, however, I feel they took advantage of a teenage boy by charging this outrageous amount for a small clasp that was not even welded shut. Several weeks after that we were downtown and visited a jeweler in the St. Vincent's jewelry building. He replaced the clasp (with a more substantial clasp), he welded it shut and shined up the chain for $25! This made me realize all the more how unfair Sea of Silver had been.

Purchased a 925 silver bracelet made by a local artist from the Marina here. The owner Michael was very helpful in selecting a great bracelet that fit what I asked for! I am glad he carries local artists as I would much rather support them over name brands and jewelry makers. Definitely will be back and hope to possibly even purchase some of his own handmade goods.

Working here has been a total blessing. I was able to design jewelry that has my moms initials, date of birth, date of death. The bracelet was from Israel and then when he put on a face plate. Originally we just were going to engrave it but you could barely see it. So we then did the letters we cut them and them out and put them on the plate to make an ID bracelet. We also did my necklace with the star of David and "Chi" the Hebrew word for life. On the back we engraved no MRI because I can't get MRI's. From watches to custom jewelry, repair, we have done it all. I've been designing jewelry since I was 14 and this is by far the best place I have been to.
