We are back and we just love the Santa Monica Playhouse. It has three small theaters. You can see a musical for kids, rent the place, see legitimate theater or have other adventures. They always seem to be doing something. They were shut down during Covid and they need your help getting back on their feet, they at a 501(c)3, and have been around so long. We went to see their Halloween musical for kids. It was on the Main Stage which seats about 50 people or so. It is so lovely inside and well taken care of. The musical itself was great. They had the kids participating from their seats and they all loved it. The actors are great and you will just love this place. Go there.

A play area trip is a relatively quiet and more beneficial option to staying in and playing noisy video games all day. The indoor setting was very entertaining, so the kids would never be bored. They also have mini-libraries for the kids who love reading. Here, your child can meet new friends as well, especially during the early afternoons.

Lovely little theatre centrally located with terrific family friendly plays and other small productions. Perfect spots for a kid's birthday party. Their birthday packages offer a great alternative to the usual kid-friendly birthday venues. The actresses and actors are very talented. And the shows themselves are very engaging and informative too.

I booked a party for my daughter's 4th birthday expecting to see Cinderella and friends for a sing-along, with my daughter as a featured guest. I was NOT notified that the show was changed to an Alice in Wonderland tea party. There were 12 children plus parents and friends in attendance, all expecting a cute sing along with Cinderella. Instead, the children sat through a redundant performance that was inappropriate for their age and my daughter came on stage at the end to get a book. Upon follow up with the playhouse director the next day, the director was a quick to highlight on my receipt that "Shows May Change Without Notice" and no refunds are given. In my opinion, this was very poor form. However, I was offered 4 complimentary tickets to see the show I planned for my daughter and our 30 guests.

What a great venue! Family friendly plays and date night shows - lots to choose from. Wonderful place to be an acting member or a regular in the audience! Seats fill up so book ahead if you really want to see one of the shows.

I had an issue at the door with a guest performance that ended up just being a big misunderstanding, not their fault. I wrote to playhouse and received an amazing response, motivating me to come back. Great people. Thanks, Evelyn

I've been to this show now 4 times, YES 4 TIMES!! Josh is an absolute gem of a human to watch and listen to- and every show is different as he interacts with his audience and finds/creates material with them in relating to his own stories. It's a blast. I love how interactive and fun it is - you truly feel like you're part of the show as you help him and contribute to the show.
