We’re leaving tomorrow, I wish I came here the first day we got here. Not only is their selection extensive and fairly priced but the people who work there are so helpful and nice - specifically David!!! He is so lovely. We brought a ball to him that we got on Venice Beach and needed it deflated to take home. He said no problem and he got the tool. When we checked out, Andrea was super friendly too.

I went over to buy myself a drink, and right from the start, the cashier had this skeptical tone, asking, "Just a drink??" Once I made the payment, all I wanted was the receipt to confirm the exact amount I was charged. But the cashier's behavior was beyond rude. They responded with impatience and mockery, holding onto my receipt as if it was some kind of precious treasure they couldn't part with. Finally, after much reluctance, they handed it over while muttering, "Huh? Receipt? RECEIPT? It's free, you can get it." I mean, seriously, what's the big fuss about asking for a simple receipt?

Just bought a t-shirt and bracelet there. The things they have there are cool and of great quality. The young lady working there with the tattoo behind her left ear spoiled the experience. Unfriendly as hell - really seems to hate her job.

This is a nice gift shop with lots of choice. The merchandise is less 'tacky' than most tourist shops. We got a couple of t-shirts which were great quality and better still, were in the sale! Prices overall are reasonable and there's something for everyone.

This place is probably the best gift shop in the area!!! We went to a total of 5 places looking for Santa Monica merch (hoodies/crewnecks). The ones on the actual pier don’t have much to offer and I think they’re really only there for the “pier vibe”. We went to the other 2 closest shops and they frankly were selling the same things… However, when we stumbled upon Sand N’ Surf, we found a lot of fashionable pieces, a good selection on sale, and were very content. I really appreciated one of the employees’ (didn’t get any names, sorry!) customer service: always checking in, offering fitting rooms, garment advice, checking for additional sizes, etc. Even though it was just a gift shop, I really enjoyed our experience there!!

Sand n Surf in Santa Monica, CA is located in the Third Street Promenade. The store has authentic Southern California surf and skateboard apparel and gear. The staff is great! The store also has a solid selection of California souvenirs.

After purchasing some flip flops and a sticker. I waited for my friend to purchase her items then as I was closing my bag up a women quickly approached me and went to open my bag. She was then shouting that I stolen something and that I was to open my bag, after I've literally just been at the cash register. My first thought was she was a thief trying to steal my money. Security came over told her she couldn't do what she was doing but didn't escort her out of the shop which leads me to think she might have actually been staff there. This experience shook me up and ruined my night.
