Rip City is an excellent shop that helped me build my skateboard. Billy was awesome. He provided expert guidance, personalized service, and a wide range of high-quality products to build my board. Highly recommended!

Shop looks the same as it did 20 years ago. Same owner. Shop has a good vibe and employees there are super helpful.

The owner was really rude and they have very minimal products that aren't very good and over priced. As a skateboarder for over 20 years and someone who still skates big s*** I feel bad if you have to go here to buy anything. Go to Jack's surf shop they are more friendly and have better products even for skateboarding...

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. Take my kids here and my father always comes as well. We have made great memories out of here.

What a spot! Love this place that's been around since the 80's with these 2 older surf/skate dudes running the joint that bicker like an old married couple, truely comical, but this place is straight out of the late 70's early 80'a what looks like a Wes Bulldog Humpston museum, truely a treasure and when your in Santa Monica you should stop in and support this establishment as it's a part of skate history.

RIP City Skates is a Westside Icon! My Dad took me there and I recently took my daughter there! Cool selection of prebuilt and decks.

I stopped in for some hardware. My board was missing a few nuts and bolts. Billy hooked me up for absolutely nothing. I offered to pay and he was very insistent that I did not. There aren't many people still out there like Billy. I highly recommend this spot. Great atmosphere, great employees, and fantastic service.

Very helpful staff that helped me pick out two boards for some kids. Highly recommend to anyone not knowledgeable about skateboarding, since they'll set you up great. Good prices too for the quality.
