I bought a special type of back pillow from the Santa Monica Relax the Back store at 2519 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica 90403. The "Sales Consultant", Dan Doherty, was very helpful and honest about what would be helpful and what was unlikely to be helpful. I've gone to many stores for devices to help me live with my herniated disc and other spinal problems. His advice was tremendously useful to me and helped me heal when other stores merely tried to sell me things that wouldn't help and had no advice. Dan didn't try to oversell. On the contrary, he tried to save me from buying what I didn't need and what wasn't likely to help. I'll buy at that store again when I need something. I'm available to answer questions.

Overall it's a nice and clean store located in a very nice neighborhood. I am glad that I found what I was looking for The store has one salesperson and he definitely prefers to deal with people who spend more money. As I was buying pillows that cost only a little over $200, I felt I was irrelevant throughout my entire time at the store. At one point, he questioned me about what I was doing at his store and spoke with me in a tone that I don't deserve to be there. Clearly, they favor clients who spend more moneyApart from custom-made chairs, this store doesn't carry that many unique items that can't be bought online. I am not sure about other Relax The Back locations around LA, but I definitely don't think it's worth a visit at this location

One of those places that is struggling to stay relevant in the age of e-commerce. It's kinda sad and lonely, understocked, and you can find anything there cheaper online--and probably get better advice from the internet than the poor, bored salesman just trying to stay awake until his shift is over. Not relaxing.

The store manager, Daniel Saltsman, is the GOAT. Thank you for your assistance on 10/4/22 at around 6 pm. Thank you for allowing the space for me to ask questions. I appreciate the kind help and advice despite me not purchasing anything. I left with new ideas for my clinic. I can't wait to come back. Thank you friend!

Agree with the review I read. The manager was there and he could barely exert the energy to help us. And we were the only ones in the store. I sat in a really comfortable chair he kind of mentioned the price when we asked then pointed to another one with a higher back. Basically he stayed behind the counter and pointer to areas where he had items. It was kind of shocking that he was the manager.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Recently had spinal surgery and was looking for a nice chair for work. As soon as we walked in, the person at the register just looked at us. My girlfriend gave a friendly hello and he finally said hey. We walked around trying out chairs. No help at all. Just sat behind the desk on the laptop the entire time. There were no other customers in the store and he did not help or say anything. Terrible energy. Felt like I was back in the 1960s.
