Chris Pogson and his team are miracle workers.I came to Pogson after an ACL/MCL/meniscus surgery, and I was struggling with my recovery. I had seen a total of 4 different PT’s and hadn’t made significant progress towards running or getting back to sports, and still had a ton of reinjuries and problems.Pogson got me back to running within the first 2 sessions and got me back to pretty much fully healed. These guys are the real deal and you’ll be in good hands.

Chris was recommended to me by a friend and I came to him after a very complicated hip/pelvis surgery. I’d been to a handful of PTs who were baffled by my situation and really not able to help. Chris immediately was able to pinpoint my root problems and get me on track. He is so knowledgeable and really knows what he is doing. He’s also very responsive. Has a great facility with free parking, too.

Chris Pogson is a world class physical therapist. I have been to some of the top spine centers in the US including Columbia, NYU, Hospital for Special Surgery, and now UCLA. I have been to some of the best physical therapists, pilates, and yoga teachers in New York and LA. Chris is the top of the heap.He helped me with an incredibly difficult SI joint issue. It was difficult to diagnose, and also very difficult to treat. He was recommended to me by some of the hotshot surgeons at UCLA as one of the best in the business. The UCLA physical therapy dept is excellent so that says a lot that they sent me to him.Ive suffered moderate to severe back pain for a very delicate back issue for almost 18 years. He was the first PT that was able to help create a workout that was effective and sustainable long term. He's got extensive knowledge of anatomy and combines that with a no nonsense approach to strengthening and full body movement.Honestly, I don't think you can do better.

Though hand-selected by THE top hip and knee replacement specialist in Weho to help me walk, after verifying my insurance and several calls back and forth over 3 days, I was just informed [in one breath] that Chris Pogson will not see me as a Medicare patient because of covid, but would take the identical risk of seeing me if I paid cash ~ $235 for an evaluation and $165/session after that. Or, ..... I could see another "well-qualified" therapist in his office. His office was aware the minute I called that the reason I asked for Chris Pogson specifically was because my surgeon knows my physical issues demand someone with his specific experience. The difference here is cash. In truth I'M at greater risk of exposure to covid by entering ANY facility than they are from me because I completely self-isolate (which they also knew 2 days ago).It has nothing to do with "covid protocol." It's about cash for Chris Pogson and that's his bottom line. If you're a Medicare patient and have been referred to Chris Pogson personally, he won't treat you unless you pay outrageously high hourly fees. Be warned!

Chris Pogson was hand-selected for me by THE top hip and knee replacement surgeon in weho. I have a very complicated spine and hips and was damaged by a "very qualified" physical therapist elsewhere in October. That's why my surgeon specifically wanted me to see Chris. After his office verified my insurance, and after several days of back-and-forth calls, I just received a phone call from his office informing me Chris Pogson will not accept me as a Medicare patient "because of covid," but WOULD take the VERY SAME covid risk from me for cash ~ specifically $235 for an evaluation and $165/session after. Or, I could see another "well-qualified" therapist in his office. His staff was informed this was not an option walking in the door. I was very specific and so was my surgeon. There's absolutely no difference to Chris Pogson's personal safety and health risk whether I have Medicare or if I pay cash. (And in fact, I self-isolate, which I also told his staff.) The truth is, when I walk into any health care facility, no matter how careful they are, I'M the one taking the risk, not them. What their spoken excuses tell me is Chris Pogson professionally appears to be about cash. If you're a Medicare patient, "he's not going to take that risk" But if you pat him a lot of cash every single time you walk in the door ~ same person ~ he will. IMHO, that's not acting out of care and an authentic desire to see people heal. That's $$$$, plain, simple, cold, hard truth.

The difference here is cash. Truth is I'M at greater risk of exposure to covid by entering ANY facility than they are from me because I completely self-isolate (which they also knew 2 days ago). It's not about "covid precautions." Chris Pogson is about the money and that's his bottom line. If you are a Medicare patient, he will not see you even when you're specifically referred to him. Be warned.

This review is so long overdue! My husband was in a bad car accident and broke pretty much every bone in his legs and feet. He was unable to bend his knees or bear weight (stand) for over 3 months. He had to learn to walk again. We tried a few PT places initially, but Pogson was THE BEST and we felt it the moment we entered. Chris is brilliant and Alley, Kenny, Maty and E-Lo are incredible too. And we also love Cathy at the front desk! My husband hit major milestones within the first few sessions - moved from walker to cane, got out of his boots and into tennis shoes, started practicing going up and down steps. I know this review just won't do them justice but you will not find a more talented, caring team. Alley has developed the most incredible, specialized programs for my husband and the amount of progress he has made is truly unbelievable. He still has a ways to go and more surgeries in his future, but we are most certain his progress is all do to the vested interest of this magnificent team. We are moving too far away to continue and unfortunately have to say goodbye. And we both had the revelation that it's not leaving the beach that is so difficult for us, it's leaving Pogson PT.

Word on the street says, Pogston PT and awesome team are the hip masters! So far I have been here for 6-8 weeks and feel 50-75% better. 3 + yrs with misdiagnosis and now we have a winning team of coaches giving tools for us to feel better. Thanks for all that you do!
