We went to Peter's workshop for some minor car repairs. We had an emergency and he was the only mechanic who was available to carry out the work the same day, asking a more than honest price for the service.

I cannot say enough great things about these men and their work. They are very honest, do great work, and have great prices. They are very honest about what work you need to prioritize doing asap and what, if anything, can be put off until your next visit. I went here due to recently moving to the area and this place was highly recommended by many and I am really happy with my decision to go here. I would recommend anyone in the area go to them!

I've been to countless shops in Los Angeles, this one is by far the best. It is ran by Ajit and Fidel, these guys make the best team and work efficiently side by side. I have never had a problem and have frequently came here for over a year to get work done on my toyota supra!

I recently moved back to the Santa Monica area after years of living in the valley and needed a good mechanic for my used Nissan. I remember my mother taking me to Peters Foreign auto for her old Volkswagens over 20 years ago and as I saw it was still in business I brought my car in.Ajit did an amazing job in a short amount of time.He was honest specific about what was going wrong showed me the parts that needed to be replaced as well as the old hose that was causing my cooling system to leak. I felt like they were trustworthy honest as well as fast and efficient. Price was reasonable. It was able to get my car fixed before my son's birthday weekend which was a huge reliefI will definitely be coming back here for any more car issues.

I was having trouble with my air conditioner, so I took my VW Golf to the dealer. The dealer told me I had a leak in the line and said I was going to pay between $1500 to $2000 to get it fixed! I heard about Peter's Foreign Autoservice from a friend who had a good experience and decided it check it out for a second opinion. Ajit was super friendly and immediately took my car in. By the end of the day, he called me promptly and I went to get my car. He told me that he inspected everything and didn't see a leak at all! He added some Freon and the AC was working as good as new. No only was he friendly, but he didn't charge me for his services, given that he did not find a problem. I don't drive a ton, so I waited to write this review. 2 months later, my AC is still working great and I am so thankful for Ajit. Sad to say that the VW in Santa Monica gave me the wrong information, but I am happy to have found Peter's Foreign Auto and will return there whenever I need service for my car. Thank you again Ajit!

My Lexus needed a new alternator and finding a mechanic that wouldn't rip me off was a bit daunting. As a woman, it's especially hard. I'm in West L.A. and I called a zillion places, getting crazy high quotes (some even higher than the dealer). I did find a highly recommended mechanic in Woodland Hills with excellent prices, but driving a car with a busted alternator 20 miles on the freeway was a no-go. I ended up calling Peter's and their price was only slightly higher than the Woodland Hills mechanic, but much lower than the local quotes I received. I read their reviews and took a chance on them. I'm glad I did. They installed the new alternator (which I supplied myself because I wanted a "new" one vs a "reconditioned" one (since they were about the same price if bought by me), and I wanted to read the brand reviews. Peter's did a great job of installing my alternator and called midway through to tell me that I needed a new belt too. At first, I thought "Oh great, the typical upselling", but I said ok to the belt. Very happy I listened to him because my car felt like a completely different car after I picked it up. Amazing! The guy working there is friendly. The shop itself is great as well (it's not a zoo with a million cars and a ton of people. Which means no excessive waiting times). Based on my experience, I would certainly go back to Peter's if I needed to, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

My car is driving much better and I feel good having taken my car here. Ajit was informative and friendly. He explained what my car needed and why, and he answered all my questions. I knew my car needed a decent amount of work - it's about 8 years old, so it needed some fluids flushed, new tires, battery, etc. He checked everything over quickly, called and gave me an estimate, and got the work done the next day (had to wait for a couple parts). I honestly expected it to take a few days (like the Toyota dealership told me it would take them). I had a broken wheel liner - instead of just replacing it, he figured out WHY it was broken and fixed that problem, too. Something the dealership took zero interest in doing. I will take my car back here in the future for sure.
