They didn't have brown paper bags. Cutting back on one-time use plastic should be a priority.

First let me thank you for taking the time to prepare the trays for our event. However I was disturbed by the quality of the food. The quality of fruit on the tray was horrible. The sandwich trays where dry and the bagels were the worst. I wouldn't recommend that anyone allow this deli to prepare anything for any event public or private. A refund is what we deserve.

Essentially, the Vons with higher prices, a cleaner store, slightly more upscale selection, and way safer fellow clients to shop around (at the Vons on 14th, I’m often concerned for my safety). That said, the cashiers are painfully rude. Also, few checkout lanes; thus, you will wait. Per previous reviews, the parking is very tight.

They need to monitor this parking lot better. I shop at this Pavilions and the lot is always jam packed. Then when you go inside there are like five people total in the store. I know they share the lot with Panda Express but I cannot imagine there's a 20-person wait for Orange Chicken at 10 in the morning.People just park here and walk around Montana for hours!I have found a spot next to a unique vehicle, done my shopping, gone home, realized I forgot something, returned to the store, bought more groceries and returned to my car to find the same unique vehicle in the same spot, two hours after I originally saw it. There's no way they are in the grocery store for that amount of time.Pavilions! I know you aren't reading this! But PLEASE patrol this lot for parking bandits. Some of us like buying a lot of food at once so the car is a necessary evil and it would be better if we could actually park in your lot!

I'll just add to the other low reviews here with my experience... Generally the produce and deli area is fine it's convenient and I like to get basic things -- I don't typically do my full grocery shop here. Today I dropped by after the gym to grab a couple of items, and when I came out my car, along with about 10 others, was completely blocked in by a delivery truck that was running (engine on) with no one inside of it. There was not enough space to exit. There was no way for me to go the opposite way. They were cars on all directions. I was completely blocked in. When I went inside to tell someone about it, they were responsive, but as I continued to explain to them that I was on a break and needed to go soon they seem to shrug their shoulders as if it's part of the risk when you come here. When I was taking pictures to document the experience for this review, the truck driver came out and saw what I was doing and started mocking me saying "take all the pictures you want it's not gonna change anything" and I thought to myself well it might change a few peoples opinions about whether or not they'll come here based on this experience... ?!? So to that guy here is my meaningless post and you get your very own pic on this review!

I am a Uber eats delivery driver, who receives request every day and hour from customers to shop and pay for their groceries. Every-time that I walk into this store at this Santa Monica location, one of the supervisors named Candy continues to direct her associates and security guards to follow and harass me around in the store. I’ve been coming here for Uber Eats for the past year and was told by the stores former security guard, who I bumped into out of the store, that Candy and others told her to “follow that black guy around and to keep an eye on him”. I was also told by her current employees that she does order others to watch me based off of the color of my skin. Since I’ve been coming to this store for Uber Eats within the year, all of the associates and guards are aware that I’m a Uber eats delivery driver, and I even show them the app and barcode at the cash register, confirming that I work for the company. But no matter what, Candy still continues to show discrimination towards me as if I’m coming in there to steal. Yesterday while I was talking on the phone using my apple AirPods Max, she sent out her security guard and her associate to follow me constantly in the store, pretending like I’m about to steal. There was a time that I had even asked her a question on where to find an item and she didn’t even look me in the face nor answer my question. I am sick of the ongoing discrimination at this store and am warning all African Americans before entering this store to be on the lookout for this kind of behavior. And am asking the owner for this establishment to take major action to end this kind of discrimination.

Saw a manager treat a homeless person like they were at the bottom of their shoe. I was so disgusted, I changed my mind on shopping in this horrible place. To the manager here, you disgust me!

Super friendly staff. Was buying some bottle of wine for clients and the security detail was keeping an eye on me. I can respect that. Doing his job well. All in all, get great savings here as a member, ample parking and actually has human beings at multiple checkouts to assist you. So it's always quite quick for a large box grocery store.

I had an absolutely HORRIFIC experience here. I had about five items in my cart and went to use the self-checkout. When I finished scanning my items, an extremely rude Asian lady working there harassed me and kept eyeing my self-checkout screen. You're in Santa Monica, for goodness sake; have some class, lady. After finishing scanning my items at the self-checkout, the situation escalated when the staff member, an extremely rude Asian lady, reached into my pocket and stole a $20 bill. Yes, I'm serious. To make matters worse, she directed a racial slur ('Dirty M#####n') at me for no apparent reason. This is not an isolated incident; we've experienced problems with her before, particularly when she was operating the manual checkout and displayed aggressive behavior towards us. I strongly urge the store management to address this issue promptly, and punish the thing either by sending it back to Viet or locking it up

I come to this store every day, but I feel particularly bad after going there these two days. The cashier is particularly rude and looks at me with particularly disgusting eyes.

INSTALL BRIGHT LIGHTS IN THE DANGEROUSLY DARK PARKING LOT AT NIGHT AT PAVILIONS AT 820 MONTANA AVE., SANTA MONICA, 90403. PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND EXPOSE CRIMINALS! I SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE TO ASK. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE YEARS AGO IF PAVILIONS EXECUTIVES TRULY CARED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ITS CUSTOMERS AND WEREN'T SO CHEAP!
