Chris is amazing. She gave me the best highlights of my life and has now given me the best haircut! I asked for her input on what would look best on me and she chose a cut that perfectly suited my face and hair type. She's a true artist and you will be in excellent hands. On top of that she's a lovely, unpretentious, warm person. I would recommend her to ANYONE.

Chris is a rare find. A stylist who is both great at cutting, and masterful with color. She approaches her work with an artist’s eye. If she feels what you are asking for doesn’t work, or is a process too stressful for your hair, what you get is a kind, honest and reasoned response. Although she could easily charge double, she chooses to have her own private shop on a chill tree lined street in Santa Monica with incredibly fair fees. I had horrible, black, boxed dyed hair and post pandemic really needed it to be fixed. With Chris, I went from black to blond. Even before starting she took the time to test my hair to make sure no damage or chemical reaction would occur. She then spent 8 hours getting me back to a normal beautiful blond and an additional 2 doing low lights and highlights. She saved my hair, was incredibly patient, and the most reasonably priced. Gwen is a hair goodess! She does my blonde absolutely perfect everytime. I am so glad I found her and have gone to her for years now. Gwen is a perfectionist and is so incredibly sweet, talented and and nice. I really like the vibe in Mallow Hair Studio. Easy parking and cute salon.
