I purchased a 2019 Mercedes Benz A220 on 8/3/24, on 8/15/24 it broke down on the FWY. I had it towed to my mechanic he informed me I needed a new engine. When I contacted the dealership they told me they were not responsible since I didn't purchase the extended warranty. I told them I never thought that after driving the car for 13 days that I would need a new engine. The sales manager said I can have it towed to one of their mechanics at my own expense, that mechanic confirmed the same, a new engine was needed. I asked the sales manager if anything could be done and he said I should have protected my investment and purchased the extended warranty. The extended warranty does not cover engine replacement even if I had purchased the warranty. I am now stuck making payments on a car that does not run. Horrible customer care! They sold me a defective car and are taking no responsibility.

The sales rep, Mayer Cohen, did a very good job showing me and my wife the car. There was a concerted push for me to lease the vehicle, which put off my wife. However, their manager/finance department ... Less so.
Strongly advise you check out the lease terms offered before committing.
They quoted me a lease at a 9% interest rate ($1023 x 36 months with $10,000 down).
Yet the Lexus website clearly offered a lease at around 2% interest rate ($869 x 36 months with $5,000 down). I had to guess on the residual value here on this second calculation so the interest rate is a rough estimate.
I don't like to haggle, and I am not that price sensitive. But I do not like people trying to take advantage of me.
Perhaps they expect me to haggle and this is just par for the course ... But I am more of a "take it or leave it" guy.
Caveat Emptor!!

VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They they will rush you to make the payment without even explaining the process to you. And not to mention the guys in finance are very nasty.

not sure if any dealership gets 5 stars based on the business model, but this one was average. salesman was friendly, but i was waiting for a while.

No parking spots for guests.. you have to literally park on Santa Monica Blvd with heavy traffic...the side street is fully parked with cars... It's an old building to look at.. Not alot of cars..it's a very dealer with limited cars for sale due to the lack of open space..

Initial review:Lexus rx 500h from here. Great service and very friendly sales rep. Ken was really down to earth and easy to talk to. It made the transaction comfortable, albeit the process took longer than I expected. Finance Ryan was also very good. He was easy to talk and didn't force any additional insurance/warranty. He kept it as short as possible. I appreciated that. Overall, people here are really nice and easy to talk to. But still expect a long process.
Updated 2 months later: My loan didn't go through which isn't a problem. I made the payment in full a month ago. Was told by Ryan, he will have documents will full payments documents ready. This was due to the CPK system hacked that happened. Which I can understand. Two weeks later... nothing. No response. and he processed my check about a month ago. Now I'm getting an email stating I need to pay my monthly car Loan. what the heck? The incompetence!!! I'm not coming back to buy another car from them. Their finance DEPARTMENT IS SO BAD. I understand you had an issue with your system due to hack, but at least update your customer on what is going on. Just straight poor customer service from finance department after you leave!!

I had an excellent experience with Ken Oleesky. He helped me buy my new insanely beautiful Lexus and helped with trading in my little Toyota. There was a waiting period (a week) as the car was still being shipped to the dealership, and Ken kept me updated so much so that he made it possible for me to get it as soon as the car arrived, literally. Everyone I interacted with at Lexus Santa Monica were very respectful and attentive, and I have no complaints. :)

Very Poor Customer Service From the guys in the finance office. I love the car I spent $38k and still they made it seem as if my money had no value. I have brought several lexuses from several lexus dealers, so far all have delivered nothing but a service of luxury except Lexus of Santa Monica. Being at this dealership left me wondering if I was really at a Lexus Dealership or a mom and pop shop.

Ken was the man. From the moment I texted him he was a gentleman, flexible, and I immediately trusted him when I met him. Very personable, didn't feel like I was being sold on anything, just informed. There was a moment when the "Manager" of the location stepped in and I did not have a good experience with him. I felt like he was bullying me, not listening, cutting me off mid sentence, and the dude was so pushy in a very distasteful way. Ken picked up on this and pulled me away from the conversation to resolve the concerns the manager was only making worse. 5 stars for Ken. 1 Star for the manager.

We have been leasing with Lexus Santa Monica for a decade plus and always return because they are one of the rare dealerships that make us feel like we are part of the family. BEWARE BEWARE !!!!!!!! These people will cheat you out of money , they take advantage of elderly people who has trusted them, in the contact part, they give you a option to purchase extra equipment, but if you deny it they will still slide the extra fees in which is more than $3000, and they will not correct it, i contacted the inspector general and consumer affairs, these people are dirty evil people and will do anything for the money, this company needs to be investigated quickly BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!!!! Lexus keys don’t fraud the customers
