Worst place ever. This is the second time I have come (it was at 2:35pm) with a sticky note posted closed for lunch . The employee saw me and said he’s out to lunch and won’t help me. I told him I drove an hour to get here and he refused to help me. waiting another hour is unacceptable. I am done with this company and will not be buying anymore. It’s super frustrating.

Show up during posted business hours to a sticky note on the door saying that they are off for lunch and will be back in an hour. Last I checked that’s not how business hours work. Lost a customer

Knew of the brand when they opened a brick and mortar in say 2006ish, but didn't venture in. Wish we had! Flash forward, we and our dogs fell in love with the food, brand and staff while in Seattle and since back in Cali, have been all about making this our dogs staple diet. WE have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the staff and the love they put into their food each and every week. Tre, at their Santa Monica location, has been personable, illustrates attention to detail with each and every transaction and remembers that our dogs love the tofu and macaroni themed recipes. Previous employees were like Tre, just exceptional. If you are tired of buying different foods to keep your dog interested or just a savvy consumer who wants the best food for your dog, thinking longterm health, providing the best opportunity for your dog to have the best life possible! Well, Just Food For Dogs is that best life! Our dogs have stamina, good coats, healthy blood and metabolisms that run like clockwork, due to Just Food For Dogs. Please note on the website or google page about this closing window. Drove all the way to Santa Monica in Friday traffic. Wasn't about to wait 15min for the store to open. Please be considerate of Angelinos' struggle with time/traffic.

This 11 year-old Chihuahua mix named Donna has a VERY grateful tummy, because whoever was working this evening graciously opened the door at 6:01pm for Donna's dogparents to buy her more fresh, delicious food. Great food, good people, highly recommend.

Food is great . Location is sketchy. No access from parking lot into the store, and had to pass a gauntlet of unhoused, inebriated persons to get to and from car to store. Doesn't feel like a place I want to go back to (even though the food is good).

Very nice little store. Very helpful and informative sales person. My dog has been eating their food for about four years and I highly recommend it. Be sure they are open before you go because there's only one staff and she closes for lunch daily.

We called to see if they had the food we needed. They said yes. Drove all the way there and contended with the miserable downtown Santa Monica weekend traffic. Showed up at the store and there was a note on the door that they "would be back at 2:50." It was 2:30. Who shuts down in the middle of a day like that? And why couldn't they have warned us when we called? Super annoying.

Jasmine was SO kind and helpful when we came in today! She offered my dog all kinds of treats to figure out what she would like, talked with me about options, and was super friendly. Best of all, my dog loves the food-- and she's really picky, so that's huge! Thanks again Jasmine, you're awesome :)

This review is for the employee there named Stenton. He was fantastic. Of all the times I have gone here, he is by far the most knowledgeable. Not only did he not get annoyed at my many questions, but he was incredibly knowledgeable having even tried all the food himself to give me his human opinion! Great customer service given by Stenton!!!

We use Ollie for our other dog and I wanted to try this one since local. They sell a huge slab of food (72 ounces) that you are supposed to figure out how much to use with their tables. Ollie comes in smaller packages so you just use a whole pack or 1/2 pack. So dividing the large slab into 1:6 is a pretty hefty ask when this food is more expensive than similar fresh dog foods. And I have a PhD in science / consumer products Executive and feel the manufacturer should do more to make the measurement easier.

Jasmine was so kind and helpful in helping me decide what options are best for my perfect senior dog, Deuce. I stopped by after a very rough morning where Deuce was admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke and sudden onset idiopathic vestibular disease and she was so patient and kind. On one of the worst days of my life, she made me feel better and Ill never forget that. Jasmine, I appreciate you so much. You're a shining light and you had a major impact on me that day.
