“We were in LA for a few days on a family vacation. One of the things my kids like to do is find magic stores in the area so they can pick up a few tricks. We did a google search and The Magic Apple came up as a possible location. Never knowing what will come up as a search result, we didn’t know what we’d be walking in to. The Magic Apple was the best outcome for what we were looking for. The owner was so upbeat and had high energy. My son walked in the door, was greeted, was asked what he was looking for, got shown a few tricks, bought a few new ones, and walked out happy.”
“I live in PA- which is a ways away from California. I ordered some stickers off of Sticker Planet LA website and they came so quick! They have so many different options as well. Ever since I found out about this store, I have been so sad that I have not been able to travel and check it out. But I feel so much better knowing its so easy to buy stickers online!”

“Neat place! Makes me want to get into Mini Z racing. Model kit collection is limited. This is more of a RC place. Along with MiniZ, it's got some classic Tamiya and Traxxas cars, on and off road, along with parts and stuff. The folks here are friendly and helpful.
They have a big MiniZ track with a digital counter, and a small track for beginners and kiddos.”

“Mega City One is amazing!! It may not look like much from the outside, but if you love comic books like me, it has mostly EVERYTHING you are looking for to meet your regular comic book fixes!! I've been going to this store for years and they rarely let me down. The owner and JON who's runs the store are incredible and have a wealth full of knowledge. Beyond that, they will go to the extra mile to make sure that your comic book needs are fullfied and you and your needs are fully taken care of. Also, Mega City One far exceeds their closest competition, that "Rotten Apple" place down the street! Forever, for me, Comic Books have always stood for "Truth, Justice and the American Way!" When I visit Mega City One, I feel like I'm stepping into the Daily Planet where hidden greatness can be found. They are so much better than President's Lex Luther's villains lair down the street. Can't recommend Mega City One's excellent customer service enough! They will take care of you and you will NOT ever be disappointed!!”
“I had them repair and make a few custom beaded necklaces for me and they did a careful, thoughtful and beautiful job. Very much curated collection of exquisite beads. I didn't see anything in the store that I thought was low quality. Got a ton of compliments on my necklaces made by this bead shop. Good customer service and reliable. Finished the necklaces in the time frame as promised.”
“I am house sitting for a friend in Pacific Palisades and needed to get supplies for the numerous bird feeders around the property. I was directed to Wild Birds Unlimited. I am so pleased to give this business an outstanding review not only for the quality and availability of products. Also for their outstanding customer service. The store employee, Julie, was extremely knowledgeable, full of suggestions and ideas, and very helpful. Julie, did not make me feel rushed or that she didn't have the time. Not only that but she helped to carry my purchases to the car. I can tell you, while I lived in Morro Bay, CA one would be hard pressed to get service let alone help to one's car. It should be noted, the parking lot, for this store is behind the store off of Centinela. I am very pleased with this business and will continue to be a customer for my own aviary needs as well as for my friends home in the”

She helped anytime anyone was struggling and gave good instruction. We thought a sweet detail they added were the valentines decorations, the wine, and the chocolates. Went on a Sunday and noticed lots of people playing some mtg and yu gi oh also couple guys doing some Warhammer so it's definitely a popular place to chill.”
“I've been coming to the bead lounge for a few years now, and I just have to say, these women have made me feel like family. I have taken several classes, from learning how to make a basic bracelet, to now wire wrapping, and I'm the kind of person who needs to watch, and ask questions, and needs the person teaching me to go slow, and explain things. Each one of these women has made me feel so comfortable. Now aside from that, sometimes I come in just to get inspiration. Sometimes I get stuck on what to make next, and I'll walk in and no joke, I am approached with a hug either from the owner Bari, Taylor, Naya or Sky, and asked how I'm doing and what they can help with. They have an incredible selection of beads, charms, chains, clasps. I've looked at several other bead stores in the area when I was first getting my feet wet in making jewelry, and it's obvious that Bari cares about what she wants in her store. The quality of her selection is truly unmatched. You can just see and feel the difference. I'm a forever fan of the bead lounge, and I know when I go in, I will always be welcomed and helped in any way they can provide.”

“Needed help answering some questions about a baseball player from the early 2000s named Derrek Lee so I called this place. I was super impressed with him knowing about a baseball player from the 90s early 2000s. This baseball players dad played in Japan and he grew up and went to grade school in Japan. I was confused on the regulation and “World Baseball Classic” eligibility and he knew EVERYTHING. I really needed it explained to me, I like to understand the rules and regulations even if I’m not a baseball player or collector. Thanks for helping me understand my retro video game and clarifying that he is in fact able to play for the world baseball classic Team Japan.”
“I love this place. They have a wall trying to keep up with the latest comic books that I can appreciate. Not sure how to explain but if I wanted the 10 latests comics of a series, probably couldn't get it but they still have the latest comics. Apologies if I didn't explain that well. There's a ton of collectibles so if you're looking for a gift or anything to decorate your house, solid options here. Shirts are a lil too nerdy for me but they seem to have been made of solid material. Customer service is great. They've always been helpful while I've been here. Not sure about the prices but it's like the toys r us for comic book shops”
“Was married to a "crafter" for 5 decades. Michael's was a Mecca for her projects, be they faux flowers for projects that would fool florists embellishments of her (and my) Ren Faire outfits. Now my own craft supply quests are much more modest but Michael's is still THE place for picture frames or art supplies. Always on the lookout for bargains, things can get pricey, but often Michael's is just the only place certain things can be found. I love the parking at the West LA store and the convenience of the new self scan registers.”
