This Gelson's is always a bummer. For the third time, a male cashier encouraged me to just take something (aka steal it) by pushing it further along the area near the cash register. As usual, I said no, I'm not a thief, I'm happy to pay for this myself. Odd flex, bro.I alerted the manager about this but I don't think anything was done. She had one of their strapped and kevlared security guys come to supervise our conversation. Um, I'm not the criminal, your cashier is! Besides all of this utter nonsense, their prices are rudely high, even for 2024 Los Angeles.

I love this store. I wish I could afford to buy more, but I love that I can buy what I do! It's a beautiful store with wide aisles, very clean, and a helpful, friendly staff.

All friendly but that does not make up for whoever cooked this dish Corn beef and cabbage small red potatoes. Food I grew up on and was just so bad. Raw potatoe hard raw cabbage and dry rd out corn beef. If you are cooking a spec dish learn to do it rt. In a special celebrated holiday.

The employee at the service desk opened a new lane for me since only one was open and the gentleman in front of me had many items while I only had a few. Staff is consistently friendly and helpful and the meat/deli department is top notch.

Always has fresh goodies and hard to find specialty items like Goat milk..for my old dog..other stores are out of stock. And lemon yogurt..hard to find..this place has a wine bar too!! Coffee and delicious Wolfgang Puck salads etc.a bit more pricier than your standard market ...

Not even sure how this store is still in business. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, but the prices here are out of this world. I stopped here on a whim to grab a quick lunch for my kids. Two small frozen pizzas and a watermelon somehow added up to $50+tax! I could not believe it. The watermelon alone was $25. I can't believe I am saying this, but I would rather walk a few blocks down to Whole Foods where I can get much better deals. It's unfortunate because I live nearby and this store could have easily become my go-to for groceries. Too bad it is just too expensive to justify shopping here.
