I love free people and I usually go to Arcadia or Pasadena, was heading to the beach so I stopped by this location. Madam! Can you please tell me why not one associate came and said hello (they were around) but they were saying hi and chatting it up with others customers?One assoc it looked at me dead in the eyes and looked away! Another made contact with me just looked back down and kept folding clothes it was giving rude it was giving unprofessional so final thought is never going back

This location for Free People is pretty much what you expect anywhere store-wise. The clothes are artfully thrown on hangers and around the store creating a very laid back vibe. I really love Free People clothes although as I am getting older I have less choices. But, these things happen. The sales girls were very nice and I had a great shopping experience. I would come back if I am in the Santa Monica area again.

Unfortunate that there are so many poor reviews, we actually had a really good experience coming here. It was kind of late in the day, but we got in just before they closed and we were the only ones in the store. They staff were friendly and didn't rush us at all and allowed my wife to try stuff on in the fitting room. They really had a nice selection of women's apparel and my wife really was hoping that she would like something from this store. After trying on some items ultimately she decided to pass on what she had looked at. The staff were still friendly and wished us a good night and unlocked the door so we could get out. Maybe we caught them at the right time, but the customer service was really good and we wouldn't hesitate to shop here again in the future if we were back in this area again.

I used to love this company. I spent a lot of money but their customer service was very good. Now they don't even get back to you when they say they will. They canceled an order and never got back to me? Twice! Unfortunately, it has turned into a company who doesn't care about its once loyal customers.

As someone that works near by the mall and has worked in retail for 5+ years I must say, I was very disappointed by the lack of customer service provided by the employees here last night. I get it, retail can be slow sometimes and even frustrating when their are a lot of go backs to put away, rude customers, and even bad co workers to spend 5+ hours with. But then I realize the store is small and manageable. There's absolutely no reason why this lack of hospitality can not exist. If a guest who so happens to be kind and friendly walks into your store at least have the common courtesy to smile and say "hello how are you". The girls here lack friendliness and an inviting environment. Such a shame. The store is not a big space, why not take advantage of this and create a comfortable and sweet ambiance. The cashier with short curly hair was so sour while ringing me up I felt guilty for buying something at the store. No smile, no "hi did you find everything okay?". Just "ready?...your receipt". No bye, no smile, just a cold stare followed by a deep sigh. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRAIN YOU EMPLOYEES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's truly the foundation of retail. So unfortunate to see such young girls look so lifeless and miserable at their work place. Hope you guys can get it together
