This CVS is awful. They never have the shelves fully stocked. It's a 24 hr pharmacy, so my husband ran out to get me Tylenol since I'm pregnant and it's all I can take. They didn't have basic Tylenol. What kind of pharmacy doesn't stock basic pain/fever meds? I really feel for the staff that works here. It seems desperately understaffed. Many items are being glass and you need someone to unlock them, but when you hit the button, be prepared to wait 10 mins (no exaggeration) or often, no one comes at all because they're too busy. The pharmacy -- good luck trying to speak to anyone. I once waited a half-hour and it was only because I was desperate. I don't blame him, but the pharmacist (or tech, honestly not sure who I spoke with) was very short with me because he was so stressed out. That last part though seems to be a corporate CVS issue -- they don't seem to fill their pharmacies with the correct number of employees anymore.

Good luck trying to get anyone to help you get a locked item from any aisle. I lost count of the amount of times I've walked up to an employee to ask for help unlocking something, only to be told "yes one second" and NEVER helped. Only reason I'm giving 1 star is because it's walkable for me. You're better off at a Walgreens.

It was extremely easy to have my prescriptions transferred from another CVS and ready the next morning!

This is a VERY poorly run pharmacy. The mobile app can only provide so much assistance, but it comes down to the people in the organization to help with questions regarding pricing, insurance options and prescription availability. Most of the employees work hard but they are overwhelmed by the volume of customers and are sabotaged by the one or two workers that don't support the others and don't take their jobs seriously. The staff rarely answers the phone after 10am, the customers in the express line are often ignored and the regular line for service can get very long. Hopefully, the management team (if any) can improve the support for the employees and thereby improve the service for the customers.

Our prescription was called in 36 hours ago and it is still not ready. My wife has been sitting on hold for two hours waiting for someone to answer the phone. meanwhile I went to the store I hear them paging for the pharmacy to answer the phone over and over yet no one answers the phone. I then asked the clerk at the pharmacy why they don't answer their phone and she said they do. I then explained my wife is sitting on hold for two hours and I hear them paging for you to answer your phone and she just said sorry. I found a great man named Christian that went inside the pharmacy and got me handled. This place is so mismanaged and overwhelmedAnd they need to tell the truth. Hire someone to answer the phone and stop making a bad situation worse. Honesty is always the best policy.

Everything is true from previous comments, my doctor called in a prescription and it was never filled and no one answers the phone. There has to be an explanation in terms of short staffing. I can't imagine they can be a functioning pharmacy with this much dysfunction

Worst pharmacy ever. - 20-30 minute waits in pick up meds line are a regular thing. - 15 minutes on hold calling then also common. - Understaffed & doing nothing to fix it for years.

This location doesn't answer their phone.. 3days of calling and just getting hang up on..I just simply want to cancel my prescription because I moved out of town.. now I'm stuck without a prescription. THE WORST!!

CVS on Santa Monica Blvd. Santa Monica. The pharmacists are the absolute best, caring , understanding , knowledge, patient and when urgent prepares your prescriptions as fast as they can . The staff is also incredible, kind, funny, helpful a 10 plus all the way around. Thank you Sincerely, Suzy Houghton

This CVS pharmacy is the bane of my existence. I've come here to pick up meds at all different hours and days of the week and there is always a huge line. I don't know why I keep getting my meds sent here. They are always short staffed and you can feel the frustrated energy of the staff, they are very short with everyone. And everyone waiting in line is annoyed too. The whole experience is always so daunting. I don't understand why they are understaffed 24/7. The employees can be so attitude-y which is sad considering a lot of the people waiting in line are sick!!

The pharmacist Thomas always treats me like family. Christian also is a great employee . They both always have a smile when I arrive. I wouldn’t change my Santa Monica CVS for any other! We ( my mother , father, myself , my son as an infant and now 21 yrs old) the entire family have been loyal customers more than 25-30 years ….

I was greeted by Shawn at the entrance and told if I needed any help for me not to hesitate to ask for assistance. I went in looking for something specific and then requested the needed help and immediately Shawn helped me. As I checked out with the cashier Sofia she was ever so friendly. I highly recommend going to CVS on Santa Monica Blvd. in the city of Santa Monica. CVS has and will forever be my To Go Store.

What do you do with your expired prescriptions & meds? If you think tossing it into trash or flushing down the toilet is the easy thing to do... you may be right, but it's not the safe thing to do nor is it without its environmental impact. Took me a while to locate where to dispose of these safely in SM. Found it here!* FYI - Free plaza parking* FYI - Bin located in the back of store, by pharmacy counterFOUR STARS solely for having a medication disposal bin here ****

The young pharmacist has such terrible attitude in answering some simple questions or acting as if he’s SO busy and it’s agonizing for him to be helpful ?
