“An amazing place that helps people find meaningful jobs. What a noble cause! This location was also my favorite bookstore back in the 1980’s “A Change of Hobbit””
“We are back and we just love the Santa Monica Playhouse. It has three small theaters. You can see a musical for kids, rent the place, see legitimate theater or have other adventures. They always seem to be doing something. They were shut down during Covid and they need your help getting back on their feet, they at a 501(c)3, and have been around so long. We went to see their Halloween musical for kids. It was on the Main Stage which seats about 50 people or so. It is so lovely inside and well taken care of. The musical itself was great. They had the kids participating from their seats and they all loved it. The actors are great and you will just love this place. Go there.”
“Truly amazing, easy going and responsive staff, Teachers are really compassionate and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this type of medicine. It simple, it works, Run, do not hesitate to take some classes here. So supportive and kind people.”
“This place is nothing short of a revelation. My mother went for years and in 2019, I dropped in. Only open four hours three times a week so you have to plan ahead. I bought a beautiful Italian blazer and slacks I got too big to wear in menopause but now rocking! 50 bucks. Pair of jeans for 10. But you also have really high-end stuff that even used I can't afford. Those who can will save huge. I haven't been since before the pandemic but hope to go soon. My mom used to go regularly after her ballet class at Westside, not far away. My go to designer resale was The Cottage in Pacific Palisades. That closed some years ago (replaced by yet another ridiculously overpriced home goods store). My other go to was Jessica Consign in SB but I've bought next to nothing since COVID hit. And having lost a lot of weight/size, I'm wearing older things I couldn't get into.”

“I feel that donating blood is giving hope to someone in need even if I don't have much this I can do. The fact that I am a universal donor more people would benefit from my life essence. I guess the red cross is okay.”
“Cornerstone retreats are free divine gifts that occur once a year. Stephen’s ministry is free year long companion walk in anyone’s trial or hardship. The bereavement ministry heals broken hearts and spirits. All pretty much for free. Come give and take. ALL ARE WELCOMES”
“Wonderful People that volunteer to give meals to the homebound and elderly. They are always looking for volunteers willing to take a small route and deliver meals Monday thru Friday. Contact Chris Baca Director or Angel for assistance with meals.”
“I love love love this rescue!! We adopted my dogs birth brother from it and we could just tell they really love these animals and it shows how much they care!! I would highly recommend going here!”
“I parked in the lot underneath the Rand Corporation when I attended the American Film Market 2023 that was nearby at Le Meridian Delafina Hotel because it was well lit and I felt my car would be safe and secure there. Parking was about $20 for most of the day (they charge hourly) vs. an outrageous $54 or $57/day at the hotel!(BTW it's right next door to the Santa Monica Civic Center, but their parking lot was not as well lit and felt kind of creepy.)”
“Wise & Healthy Aging did wonders with my mother. All of the staff is very supportive to every care giver. The activities that stimulate the seniors were very beneficial to my mother. Thank you Wise & Healthy for all the work and LOVE that you have given to my mother!!!”

“Sooo, you gotta be on the Below Market Housing list thru the City of Santa Monica. There is a long list and hope you receive an invite to apply. They choose 20 people to contact for every one Apt. Better off finding one on my own. Only problem is most rents for one bedroom exceed the amount of the Voucher. Slim chance, but, I'm not giving up.”
“I want to thank every single person in this organization for helping me reduce my felony down to a misdemeanor and expunging my record as a whole without any financial dues because I qualified. I want to thank the intake person who took my information in the beginning to the person who did a follow up. The paralegal person who contacted me therefor after and finally the lawyer who represented me in the lax court. If someone doesn’t get back to you right away please given them a week or two then you yourself give them a call. Please do not doubt them, this is a serious organization, I am a real person giving a real review. I have not been paid, asked, told to leave this review, it genuinely honest. I never leave reviews but this is a must for me, I am forever grateful. So if you are hesitant please don’t be they will take care of you the way they did with me. Thank you so much! I am forever grateful.Thank you,Mr. Rene PeñaMr. GiovannyMs. Sarai Perez”
“I want to give an update as of May 10, 2024:This is by far the BEST YMCA that you, your family, and friends could ever attend. The staff care about everyone and they mean it. Maria G. IS THE BEST. This YMCA did so much for me and literally saved my life. The review below is from 3 years ago:Very friendly people, professional staff huge facility with many amenities, safe, clean, and feels like family. Many different activities to choose from.Santa Monica YMCA has helped change my life! I feel better physically, mentally, and spiritually.”
“I’d like to share that I was in the store today and a very rude woman was making racist comments and the two volunteers working at the store asked her to leave and she refused and then she physically assaulted of the women and it was disgusting to watch. This is a beautiful store that does great work for an amazing cause and the volunteers working there did not deserve to be treated like that. Please have respect when you shop at this establishment.”
