COME HERE Darvin was super kind and trustworthy! I am new to LA so I had no clue where to take my BMW. After a few reviews I decided to take it down the street from CARS. Not to name names but they are located on the same street as CARS... they charged me for a quote and the quote had double charged for coolant and the price was insane. PRAISE JESUS I was walking to a coffee shop to wait for the other shop to take a look. As I am walking i stumbled upon CARS and asked them what they would charge for a new water pump, radiator, and thermostat would be. IT WAS $1,000 less than the other place (Parts & labor both way less). So easy decision for me I went with Darvin and he immediately felt like my California Dad. When I came to pick up my car on my bike he offered to fix the handle bars because it was wobbly. My car is fixed and he made me feel safe! Will be returning.

Unprofessional establishment, my wife went there for service. One employee was completely ignorant and rude, tried to overcharge her. Sad situation..Never Again.

I came in for an oil change, & because my van (my home) was overheating & leaking coolant. I brought it in on a Tuesday, & was given a post it of what I needed & the cost. I could not afford it, & decided to cut the cost the only way I could by getting my own parts. The radiator I selected would be delivered in 1 week, the following Wednesday. I was clear with my communication, stopping by almost everyday & text. Radiator was delivered a day early, Tuesday, & I dropped off everything. It was not “finished” until that Saturday. I paid $500 cash. They hadn’t even done the oil change. I brought my own oil, my own filter, & I wrote oil change on the paper as a reason for visiting. Closed on Sunday. I’m here in the parking lot, Monday, because I’m still leaking brand new coolant out of my brand new coolant tank, & now my heater doesn’t work & I still need my oil changed. I will update later*UPDATE* 1 star added. the owner is a nice guy, but after posing my review he said “I shouldn’t even be talking to you”.. not “I’m sorry you’ve had to wait almost 2 weeks for your vehicle & we didn’t do the oil change, you’re STILL leaking coolant & now your heater doesn’t work, we’ve clearly dropped the ball, let’s change this & make it right”. After a heated discussion I was told to bring it in the next day, some heater tube or something was clogged full of oil & coolant sludge. Why was everything else flushed “10+ times” but not that? He blew it all out, heater was working when I left. Did oil change. Next day heater not working. It’s days later & my heater still isn’t working, now I feel like I have to take it to a dealer who is gonna charge me something ridiculous, but hopefully my money will actually get used to FIX my vehicle this time. This is my first vehicle & first time at a mechanic, it has not been a trustworthy experience for me. My oil is changed, my car is not overheating, my coolant is not leaking, but my heat is not working.

You almost have to pinch yourself to believe how honest these guys are. They're efficient, motivated and super knowledgeable about a very wide range of cars (including european/special models), best prices on the westside for best value, personable and never hustle you.

Darvin is my go to mechanic for my 95 Ford Bronco, he’s fair, quick, and knows how to fix just about anything. How I got here: called around multiple places because my car was making horrible noises and could barely drive, all other places said I would need a new transmission and would cost me up to 5k with a $100 fee to look at it. Ended up calling C.A.R.S., Darvin said he’d take a look for free and figure out the issue. Turns out it wasn’t all that serious and fixed it overnight and charged just for parts and very reasonable labor costs. Been going ever since and my truck runs great. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience here. Darvin is awesome he explained to me what was wrong with my lights and fixed it without charging me. Although it could be a temporary fix I know exactly where to go if my lights stop working again. Thanks so much Darvin could not recommend this place enough!
