Very helpful service in store and delivery. Best hardware store in Santa Monica center. Great selection of garden rocks, pebbles and water features. Mark and others were much more knowledgeable than big box home stores. Reasonable prices.

This place is evil. I have an office right down the street from them, came in to buy a large amount of stone and I don't think I have the strength to tell you how horrible my experience really was. All of these negative reviews are correct. In short, the employees aren't just rude, they are all out nasty and a hair trigger away from belligerent, shady to say the least, just want to fight with people, they won't tell you who the owner is, and all of the usual suspects, but nope, even worse, they know nothing about what there are selling at all, no knowledge of the products whatsoever, they use high pressure tactics which are actually complete and all out fraud, not one person in the place cares about any customer and they go out of their way to makes it extremely obvious, and I have to stop here because I was dumb enough to trust them with my credit card for $7,000.00 so until I see that they didn't rip me off, I would say more. STAY AWAY!!!

Absolutely love this place. Building materials, hardware and pretty much any hand tool or power tool you can think of, they have it. They get you in and out quickly with plenty of staff to help you with any questions or concerns.

Poor poor service. They supposedly have clear standards for broken concrete. They say "clean, no rebar, has a face you can use," etc. They delivered thousands of lbs full of rebar and no face to use. That's forgivable. They made an error. But the shitty part is how they dealt with it. Armando basically said "all you do is complain. We have a long list of people waiting for broken concrete, and we don't need your business." They clearly also don't need another bad review, as they have many!

These people have no clue what they're doing, they don't properly train their employees. They are there for a quick buck and not to actually serve the community to their full potential. Stay away and find a company that actually knows what they're doing.

Horrible customer service from the female cashier. Very condescending. Constantly annoyed at customers. I was told they can't cut wood since they don't have a license, even though I've gone here 4 other times and each time they were able to cut. I won't be returning.

The staff particularly the lady with glasses exhibited a regrettable lack of courtesy, displaying a penchant for brevity and dismissiveness. While acknowledging the establishment's nature may not inherently promise top-tier service, the combination of rudeness and the attempt to convey assistance by citing busyness and prematurely concluding interactions falls short of acceptable customer treatment. There is a discernible need for staff to undergo fundamental customer service training to refine their communication skills.

They force sales on you
Once I bought artificial turf and because it eas the end of roll they invoiced me with three feet extra- without letting me know
I noticed it on the invoice and after the fact what I heard is what the big deal?
Then I buy weed cover and out of a 500’ roll their minimum is units of 30’. So I had to buy 15 ‘ extra that I don’t need. To add insult to injury they measured it on the parking lot it got wet and all in a big messy bundle that I will have to reroll properly once home

Such a great building material store. I specifically come here for their excellent selection of decorative gravel and pebbles. The prices are fair and reasonable and the will deliver as well for a small charge. Delivery is always accommodating and let you know when they are on their way. Free parking that is navigated by a staff member as there are a lot of large work trucks coming and going. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended this store and their other location in Santa Monica.

I would be extremely wary about buying any materials from Bourget Brothers. I purchased concrete pavers a year ago which, after one year, have spots all throughout them. According to 2 stone contractors I’ve spoken to- it’s from bad concrete. And according to the Representative from Bourget brothers he’s “never seen the effect in 25 years” and is denying that it has anything to do with the manufacturing- Volari. . Needless to say, I was not warned at purchase that the pavers might look spotted- instead of like the samples in the show room. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Well, to begin with, everything is fine, the material is a little high compared to other stores, the staff inside the store are very friendly, but the staff who send you the material do not even want to help you load the material into the trucks, they are with their hands on It's unfortunate that there are people who don't love their work, especially this person who shipped the good material. It's unfortunate that all the good workers pay for a person like this.
