Book Stores in Santa Monica, CA

“Thunderbolt Spiritual Books is a little metaphysical shop stuffed to the gills with merchandise. As you walk into the store you will see an enormous statue of Siddhartha Buddha with a collection of offerings in his lap. This place has an enormous stock of crystals, particularly of the ones that are very popular (amethyst, rose quartz...etc.). They also carry a collection of jewelry featuring many semi-precious stones. They have a case of elaborately decorated Hindu and Buddhist spiritual beings and a number of large bronze sculptures of Ganesha and Buddha that are displayed on the stairs to the second floor. Thunderbolt does have a large number of books (an especially large shelf on the top floor), but I think they're rather overshadowed by the crystals, tarot cards and other spiritual paraphernalia. The prices seemed reasonable. They were neither super-expensive nor dirt cheap. The employees were kinda and helpful while I was browsing the store and had a nice conversation with the cashier. If you are in Santa Monica, you might want to swing by.”

Him and the staff were kind, and let me ask lots of questions. Everytime I go, there's always something new and exotic to see.”

“Super cool store! Make sure you have a lot of time on your hands to rummage thoroughly because there is a ton to look at and a huge selection. The prices are all reasonable and in this economy, appreciated. There's just something comforting about the store. The owner is very nice. I will definitely go back!”

“Due to location in Santa Monica, CA., I understand pricing gets higher here from 'Mystic Journey Bookstore,' Santa Monica, CA., However the two staff I met the night I showed up gave me a great first impression. It's just not a must visit for now also due to location is a bit far from WeHo. I still love me weekly trips to WeHo, CA. I bought a Manifestation mini booklet and some uplifting cards from here after a reading service. If I'm in the area again, I'll swing by to browse the bookstore because it turned out a fun place to shop. I just need to bring more quarters for parking. Some times I get lucky with street parking, but some times I don't. Lol....I got the hang of parking everywhere in Los Angeles, CA., now though.”
