Big 5 has a great selection of shoes. I was able to find something that was comfortable and that it was also made with good quality.

I had lost my shoe in the ocean, and wanted to replace my lost footwear with a proper pair of boots. I've had many good experiences at Big 5 Sports in the SW region of the United States, so I was confident that I could find some new boots.
I entered the store, headed to the shoe department, and was confronted by an employee who said that I needed to leave the store immediately. I said I wanted to buy some boots, but was escorted (in a non-friendly way) to the door saying that I would be arrested for trespassing if I did not leave. I didn't argue, but found a mess of trash outside the store.

Today I witness a man smoke cr@ck in plain site and Big 5 did nothing about it. I couldn't believe my eyes. A homeless man was sitting on the side of this Big 5 location, smoking out of a glass pipe and plain view of the residential community and all of big 5's customers. I was so shocked. I immediately called them to let them know. They did nothing. I sat there for 30 minutes. Not one manager or employee came out to even check even though the man was doing this maybe 40 feet from their front entrance. I saw at least 30 people, including children walk right by this man on their way on from the parking lot. There is no mistake that he was doing this. I walked right by him and saw it with my own eyes. This is so terrible. I can't believe how little their staff cares about its neighborhood and their customers.
