As the owner of a Mirai hydrogen car, I rely upon rare hydrogen stations to fuel my vehicle. I have used this particular station for 5 1/2 years now, and the quality has gone completely downhill. Frequently, there is a point of sale error where the router needs to be accessed inside a small room, and somebody has to press the button. This station owner, Robert M, deliberately refuses to let anybody go press the button and makes us all go for months without being able to get hydrogen. I now have to drive from Santa Monica to Burbank just to fill up my car. Robert has also cluttered the parking lot with lots of U-Haul trailers, which he won't even rent to people, tons of Tesla charging stations, and he's blocked one of the exits to the parking lot, so it's very hard to get in and out and he blames Mirais when he's actually just trying to make money anyway he can and clutters the lot himself. I am angry that I will have to deal with this for another 5 1/2 months and that he is killing any incentive for people to try other types of fuel. I will make sure I stay away from this station when I do buy a car that fuels differently. I also want to say that he has some kind of security guy who makes Mirais park way way on the edge of the parking lot and back up 200 feet in pouring rain where I can't even see the cones or the fueling pump. It just seems that he's trying to stop all hydrogen fueling at the station which I'm sure as a violation of his lease, as well as being rude and immoral. Come on Robert , let somebody go inside the closet and press the button so we can all buy fuel and not drive to Burbank from Santa Monica.

I am writing this review due to the new owner Robert & his management blocking access for fueling for weeks at a time to 1000's of hydrogen fuel car owners who rely on fueling here ! I'm sure that there is a legal lease with air products singed & they pay him high rent - but somehow he refuses to allow repairs / access to the closet / room where the service technicians need to get into to keep the fuel station operating consistently! I hope he realizes that he is causing undue amounts of hardship & stress to 100's of us - i'm actually going to look into a class action lawsuit against him this week & I'm 100% sure i can get 100's- 1000's of people to join me - horrible business owner ! He has rented out every space - UHauls , trucks blocking , tesla charging stations & his greed is going to get him for sure !

If I could give this station zero stars, I would. I am the proud owner of a Mirai car and I have used this station for the last 5 1/2 years to fill up my car with hydrogen. The station owner, Robert , claims that Mirais block other customers, so he is made things very difficult for Mirai owners, including refusing to open the door where the router is located so that it can be reset. We go months at a time without being able to get hydrogen, and I drive from Santa Monica to Burbank to get my hydrogen now because he refuses to open the door to reset the router. He also hired a security guy who made me back up my 200 feet in the pouring rain from some weird location at the far end of the parking lot and there was no one in the lot at all. I could've pulled forward filled up and been gone in five minutes. But he made me back up in the pouring rain and I couldn't even see the cones or the hydrogen station. It almost seemed like sabotage. Thanks to Robert , I will give up on Mirai in five months and get a different kind of car and I will make sure that I never ever go to his station again for any kind of fuel, hydrogen, gas, electric.

uHaul customers, avoid this hell hole! Absolutely horrible service. Reserved via uHaul.com, showed up they had run out of all dolly types. They handed me the keys and excepted me to take the truck which was stuck between two other truck with no space for anyone to squeeze through, open doors and get in from either side. The staff was almost upset when I asked them to pull out the truck. It's a really thinly staffed joint, that's least interested in helping customers Stay way!!!

Cut off 24th street entrance for "construction" I guess and then now added a bunch of U-Haul. Making it extremely difficult for cars to access the hydrogen fuel station. No place to park either now. The U-Hauls took up all the spots.

March 15, 2020. Dear owner you and your employee don't belong in Santa Monica. BOYCOTT THIS STATION. Customer service = 0 of 10. Think twice before coming to this Chevron station. Experienced an ultimate case of no accountability and passing the buck to the customer. I Stopped by to fill up air in my tire. The air machine mechanism instead no matter how I tweaked the head or applied pressure only leaked air. My tires air pressure went from 38 down to 30 and no time. Clearly broken. Went into see the person in the store and he couldn't care less and said he didn't have a dollar in his cash register to reimburse me. He flippantly said that the onus is not on them nor is it their responsibility. I asked for the vendors number that owned the air water machine and he said he didn't know. One dollar that's all that I asked for back because a machine on this (their) property did not work and he did not give a flying care. This employee was heavyset 30-yr old 5'4" tall Hispanic man in the store this morning. He deserves to be fired. Unless the owner wants someone this untrained representing their business. I hire people for a living and his definition of customer service in a retail-and-directly-interfacing-with-customers job should be embarrassing to the owner. He simply couldn't care less. Instead he told me I can come back on Monday morning when the manager would be there. I asked him what time the Managers in and he said oh I don't know.

They would unfortunately not honor a check in offer here. And it wasn't like I was just looking for a freebie, either-- I made a $50 purchase. The guy was not particularly nice about it either, he just said "no" and proceeded to ignore me. Will not be returning!

I took my car here for a SMOG check today because it is down the street from my work. I was surprised at how fast they got the job done. The price was reasonable and they had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. I was also able to grab an energy drink and fill up with gas and get back to work with time to spare on my lunch hour. All in all a good experience!

I've been here every year for three very simple reasons - it's the cheapest by FAR in the area, it's fast and the guy who does it is a lovely elderly gent with a friendly smile. I'm amazed he's not put all the others out of business.

I always get my annual smog check here. It's the cheapest in town and usually in-and-out within 15 minutes. Pro tip - drive around to the back of the service station - that's where they do the test.

Coupon is only for labor. Then you have to add California fees and another $3.50 electronic processing fee. Ends up being about $52.00. Also, the "free soda" deal was only valid when the station was an ARCO station. It's now a chevron station, and the clerk wouldn't accept the offer. Process was quick though -- no appointment needed. Took a total of about 15 min.
