I’d like to share that I was in the store today and a very rude woman was making racist comments and the two volunteers working at the store asked her to leave and she refused and then she physically assaulted of the women and it was disgusting to watch. This is a beautiful store that does great work for an amazing cause and the volunteers working there did not deserve to be treated like that. Please have respect when you shop at this establishment.

I just had the worst experience trying to donate high end Ferragamo shoes to the Santa Monica Discovery shop. I did not realize you had to call ahead to donate items. I walked in, was ignored for several minutes and I asked the woman at the counter who I could speak with about a donation. She pointed, so I asked the person who she pointed at, who told me I had to go around the back door but I also had to make an appointment. I told her the back door looked locked, and I showed her the two bags I had. She said, "well, let me see". I then said, these are wonderful Ferragamo shoes that my mother never wore, but I will go elsewhere, no one seems interested and I walked out. The lack of courtesy and professional friendliness really needs to be addressed.

I had the easiest and best experience when dropping off clothes to donate. I called ahead and made an appointment like they asked it was seamless and easy. Everyone I spoke to via phone and in person was so kind, helpful and appreciative. I highly recommend donating and shopping here!

This review is for the Camarillo, CA. Discovery Shop! I am a Cancer Survivor like so many who choose to give to The American Cancer Society. I had 2 car loads of things to drop off. I had made an appointment the week before to do so. I meticulously went through everything, sorting, organizing and only boxing up things I would be willing to buy. No Junk! I made plans with my Husband to help me load up our cars and headed to Camarillo about 20 minutes away. When we arrived I walked in and waited to speak to someone, no one greeted me. I told them that I had an appointment to drop off things, one sweet lady went to go get a cart, but unfortunately, another lady ( one I suggest they get rid of ) was obviously not in the mood to except items. We wheeled in 5 suitcases filled with clothes and was then told, that they couldn't except anything else as they had no more room to store things. I am standing there looking at their back room, which would have held everything we brought. I truly feel that I was being judged by how I looked, which is unfortunate, considering I brought them Designer Clothes and had a car full of household goods that would have brought them quite a bit of money. As I said before no junk! I smiled and said, "ok." Knowing it was her loss. But, as I drove away, I checked myself, my anger, my ego, and decided that perhaps another Discovery Store would accept my things. I called The Discovery Store in Northridge, CA. and they were gracious and said they would be happy to take my things. When I arrived, I was greeted by two Volunteers, who both went to get carts and help me unload my car, they were kind, gracious and appreciative. That's all I really wanted. I will never return to The Camarillo Discovery Store, but I am happy I found another place, The Northridge Discovery Store, which by the way, is bigger and better and the Volunteers seem happy to be there!

I don’t mind making an appointment because when I drop off my boxes, I can see the amount of donations they accept and sort. It is overwhelming in their back room. There is a lot of work going on that you don’t see…. to clean and make so many things presentable for sale. Volunteers are so friendly and have lovely quality products. It’s a relaxing place to browse and all the money goes to cancer research..win win in my books ♥️

Small shop on Wilshire, metered parking on the street. The majority things here are women's clothing, purses, shoes, scarves and jewelry. They have a few men's clothing items, shoes and ties. There is a small section of children's clothes and books. There is also a small area for household tabletop items as well as artwork. I always try to stop in if I am in the area.I have found gems! I also donate to this shop as I am a cancer survivor.
