I cannot help but view the smattering of positive reviews with deep skepticism, suspecting that they might be the handiwork of the staff themselves, a stark contrast to the harsh reality I have experienced during my stay here. I feel it necessary to offer an inside perspective to counterbalance what seems to be a facade of satisfaction.My personal ordeal began with the landlord's glaring communication issues, a recurring theme where unknown charges routinely find their way onto the monthly bill without any forewarning or justification. Adding to the distress, the office functions as a ghost town, notably closed on Mondays and often deserted during business hours, with staff indulging in breaks that extend beyond two hours.The interior of the apartment sadly mirrors the lack of management and upkeep. My unit was not at all ready for occupancy, marred by malfunctioning main appliances that seemed to have been left untouched for ages. Expect a long and agonizing wait, extending over a month, for any repair or maintenance requests to be addressed.Venturing outside the apartment does not offer any respite either. The vicinity is riddled with security hazards including, but not limited to, broken windows and vandalized cars and doors — issues that remain glaringly unresolved to this day.I cannot emphasize enough the daily headaches and regrets that have marred my tenure here. I strongly advise potential tenants to not be swayed by the seemingly positive reviews and instead consider other alternatives in the area. The distress and discontent are simply not worth the trouble, a lesson I learned the hard way. Please, save yourself the anguish and look elsewhere.

We moved to this place just earlier this month and it already feels like our new home! The location is perfect as it is within 10 min walk to the beach and the Promenade is right around the corner. I was initially concerned about possible noise as our windows face Broadway, but once all the doors and windows are closed, it gets really quiet. Lastly, I wanted to mention our wonderful experience with the leasing team. It’s been a pleasure working with Elijah! He is very welcoming, accommodating, and professional. If I have any concern, it’s always addressed in a timely manner.

Overall Review: Pretty great place. One thing to keep in mind is that your car and/or belongings will probably be stolen at some point while staying here. Security isn’t really their thing here. One prime example of this is when MY CAR GOT STOLEN out the garage and I never got it back. Apparently its a big problem on the community app and others have experienced the same with cars, packages, and apartment break ins. Other than THAT pretty good.Special Notes: I recently had the pleasure of living at 425 Broadway Apartments, and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the outstanding maintenance service provided by Sergio Miranda. He is actually the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review. From day one, Sergio went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our living experience was nothing short of exceptional.Sergio is an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable maintenance professional who consistently demonstrates his dedication to his craft. Whenever there was an issue or a repair needed in our apartment, Sergio promptly arrived with a friendly smile and a genuine eagerness to assist. His attention to detail and efficiency in resolving problems were truly remarkable.One of the standout qualities of Sergio is his exceptional communication skills. He actively listened to our concerns, patiently addressed any questions we had, and provided us with thorough explanations of the repairs he performed. I recently moved in to 425 Broadway and it was one of the easiest move-in experiences I’ve had. I’ve lived in three different states in about eight different apartment complexes and the staff here is one of the best. Equity Residentials online portal made it easy for me to complete all the steps required before move-in. The leasing office answers the phone most times (something which is rare nowadays) and always expeditiously replies to my emails. Elijah Oseguera from the leasing office is the main person I interact with and he is always professional, kind, and quick to reply.

Loved the units, view and the clutch amenities but in the end I wanted a 2 bedroom which they just didn't have available. Elijah was very welcoming on the tour, friendly and answered all my questions. I wish all my leasing representatives from the past were like him. Kevin was also pleasant. The interaction with the leasing office alone had the perfect ease, comfort and follow up. Working in hospitality I know I will be connecting Elijah with any of my future guest Santa Monica apartment rental inquiries.

Great location, great facilities, and friendly people. Elijah has helped me with the moving in process and the service has been top notch. He really has gone the extra mile to make me feel welcomed, even staying on hold with the utility company to help me through an issue. Love living here!

I just got a new job and I'm looking for a new apartment. Luckily when I walked in for help Kevin was kind enough to take me step by step me with everything I needed. The property itself was really nice and it's so close to so much stuff I feel like you can't ever get bored. Kevin clearly knows his stuff so I was greatly impressed. The price itself for the unit was exactly what I was looking for. I truly can't wait to move in. It'll be a new lease on life. Pun included.

I don't normally leave reviews, but because I was treated with the upmost respect, decency and morality by Elijah and Kevin. They truly gave me an admirable experience. I told several people of this property and of course Elijah and Kevin's commendable work and knowledge. Unfortunately I wasn't able to lease due to a new job out of state,but if you are considering to rent from this property in particular, I approve this message. Enjoy your new home!

Toured this community and it was so cute! Above all the staff was extremely responsive and friendly. Kevin was able to answer all my questions. Definitely a top contender for my new place to call home once my lease is over.

My experience here, both with the management team & the unit, was the worst I've ever had. I agree with the more critical (and in my eyes fair) reviews here and would encourage folks to explore another options for downtown Santa Monica apartments.
