Everything you need to move is available to you. Informative videos a must watch . We didn't lose or break anything by watching the videos. I was well prepared by the time pods came. The most positive, professional team. So pleasant to deal with the drivers. Other than the slow process to get the quote, this was well worth it . This company has it dialed.

pods was absolutely a nightmare for me. I was selling my home & the closing dates were rearranged. I ended up needing my pod moved 11 days sooner because my buyers wanted me out on closing date. I called and was told no. My agent called and was told no. My pod was placed in a horrible location. I was told it couldn’t be placed further back & I wasn’t even able to park in my drive way. Due to the location of the pod, moving out and the buyers moving in was a huge pain. I have pictures for proof. The pod door was not in the direction i requested. My closing day came and went & I had to move across country without any of my belongings. I’ve been in California for almost two weeks with no bed, no clothes. Nothing except what was with me when I got here. I finally got to go pick up my stuff today. And yes, I said pick up! My pod was going to be dropped off but due to it having to stay on the premises longer than 12 hours it couldn’t be. Pods couldn’t get it any sooner. I was under the impression it could be moved whenever I scheduled. But little did I know if it didn’t fit y’all’s schedule it wouldn’t be touched. Note I had a small pod. Then my pod was delivered an hour away from where I live. I had to rent a uhaul to go get my belongings. I pull up to a not very well marked lot that is connected to a completely different company and there are zero people for pods even here.I found my container with a little orange band & with a note that said I’d be fined $100 if I left any garbage. I paid literal thousands and wasn’t given options. Then after I specifically asked someone if I’d be charged again and I was informed NO. (A recorded line should help with this evidence) I get charged $300+ dollars the day before my pods case is supposed to close.I should have saved my money and went with uhaul from the jump. This was such a waste of time and money in my personal opinion. For what I got dealing with pods, it wasn’t worth it.

If you’re military, DO NOT USE PODS. I have had nothing but a terrible experience on the electronic side so far. My deliver guy was amazing, on time, and very helpful. However, everything else has been awful.I ordered 2 large containers. They tried sending one to my final address instead of my starting address. When I called to resolve this they informed me last minute that one of my containers would be arriving 3 days later than the original date when I made the reservation. The billing process for me has also been an issue. I made a reservation with “card 1”. Once my military GTC (card 2) was activated for my PCS, I made that the primary card on my account. Turns out, it didn’t matter because they decided to still charge “card 1”. The documentation on the PODS website also doesn’t even reflect an invoice for that payment so I’m not sure what it’s for at this point.Fast forward 2 days later and I’m receiving a notification that I haven’t paid a separate invoice. I checked the credit card statement for “card 2” and it was charged that invoice amount 2 separate times within and hour and a half.Multiple unknown charges to my credit card and when I called to ask them about it, “it seems these were accidentally charged to your account, let’s get a request in to refund that.” Then I get rushed off the phone after it’s been “resolved” to avoid any further problems being addressed.I had to fill out the same form 5 times because whatever system they were using wasn’t updating the information to my account.I have had to call them every morning since my move began to fix a new issue. Luckily for me, I am in the military so I know at least part of this money spent will be covered but I highly recommend just doing a complete PPM, or just having the military haul your stuff away. It’s honestly less of a headache.

I would give the Pods service an A (booking /price/drivers). I'd give Rose in the Santa Maria office a mixed grade (A for getting our Pod Door unjammed and an F for her inability to get past blaming/arguing when asking to have our pod moved). The initial delivery was smooth and the driver was great. He called and even though I couldn't be there, he was able to place the pod in the right location. The drop off to the new location was trickier. There was no heads up that I would have to schedule that in advance and so I wasn't able to have the pod picked up for a week (so schedule that in advance!)When the pod was delivered we weren't able to be home because of that scheduling delay. We didn't get a call from the driver and the pod was dropped a few feet from our garage door with the door facing out to the street. On top of that the door was jammed. I called and got Rose and she said she would get a driver out that day to fix the jammed door. She said that happens commonly. That was great. It would've been nice if Pods would have warned about that so we could've packed our load differently or thrown a moving blanket over the back side of the load. The driver called that day and said he would be at our house at 45 minutes and neither of us could be home at that time. He said that he couldn't go out and open the door without an owner present and someone would call no one called. This is where things went downhill. The next morning I talked to Rose , I let her know we needed to have something scheduled to unjam the pod because we're both busy. She indicated that the door was no longer jammed and I told her it wasn't (because the guy said he couldn't do it without an owner present). It turned out a second driver had come out open the door on his own and no one had communicated that to us.Rather than just say that, Rose was somehow offended and out of the blue became argumentative about the door being unjammed. She was right, but her tone was terrible. As if I was accusing her of something when there is no way I could have known the door had been fixed, especially when the first driver said it couldn't be done without us and no one had communicated with us. She couldn't just acknowledge the lack of communication on her/pods side or that the door had been unlocked and they hadn't followed their policy of having an owner present. No biggie! On that phone call with Rose when I asked about having the pod moved (I had asked before too) she was defensive/argumentative about it being my fault that the pod wasn't how I wanted it, saying "you weren't there" (as if I was supposed to be) and "you said to have the pod to the cab side" (which is lingo I would have never used). What does that matter? It's still wrong. Rather than focusing on the problem and offering solutions, she offered no solutions and angrily asked me to express appreciation for getting the door un-jammed. While I do appreciate that the door worked now, in the face of her argumentative tone and total lack of acknowledgement of my concerns, I found that super irritating. My husband called the next day and talked to a supervisor and got it fixed, no problem. I was apologetic to the driver who came out the next day because I imagined it might be a big inconvenience and the driver said it's no problem as they often have time between appointments to do things like this. So why Rose had to create such a negative customer experience and couldn't just offer that solution, I don't know.If she starts to argue with you, just ask for a supervisor and save both of you the wasted time arguing.

Fantastic communication, easy and reliable, wonderful value. I could not have asked for a better experience with PODS. I'd highly recommend and will use again in the future any time we move.

Called and setup a delivery for 10 days in the future. I then scheduled a day off the day off delivery and hired Movers for the next day. The morning the POD was supposed to arrive I got an email saying it would be delivered 2 days later. Unacceptable. Thankfully I got in touch with the actually warehouse (a franchise not corporate) and they said they would deliver the POD 8 am the next day. Since that was before the movers were to arrive it worked out. Too bad that took a few hours on the phone with PODs corporate to figure all that out.

I have found our experience with PODS very frustrating. Issues - the PODS are small. A Large POD fits a couple of rooms not 3-4. If you are moving and find it's too small, it's too late. It takes them a minimum of 2 weeks to deliver and redeliver. You are paying for storage from the time you receive the POD until they pick it up even if they drive the timeframes. This is not what we were told. I will never use PODS again. I recommend you find another company.

Pretty straight forward and easy to use. Would have been more cost effective to just get a UHaul but the ability to take my time with a move was nice.

First they dropped our POD damaging tens of thousands worth of equipment. Believe it or not, things got worse from there. I keep writing the details... rewriting... I simply can't... Just straight up... don't trust this company with your precious items, don't trust them with access to your bank info, don't trust a word they say! I did all the things I'm warning you of and am regretting it daily.

Pods truck driver speeding down my tiny street. We have children and pets living on this street. That person should have their license taken away.

Horrible experience with PODS. Took over two months to move my POD from Milwaukee to Santa Maria. Came to found out it was sitting in Santa Maria for a month and they never told me. Then they claim they have NO drivers to deliver to Cayucos….and proceed to charge a storage fee! Not my fault there’s no drivers. I decided to rent a UHAUL and pick up my belongings myself on May 31st. PODS proceeded to charge use storage tent for the month of June!!! Some of my furniture was clearly damaged.Very shady company. They only have a 1-800 number to contact them, where I got different answers every time I called. “Oh it’s stuck in milwaukee” “oh it’s in Santa Maria” For Christs sake what kind of minimum wage employees are working here.I will never do business with PODS again. Do yourself a favor and move your items with UHAUL. At least they are more transparent.

We had an amazing experience using PODS with our recent move from California to North Carolina. Setting up delivery, pick up, and shipment was super easy and we felt well informed about what to expect all along the way. The communication was top tier, especially with our driver Lori Scott. She was really nice and super professional, and when we thought we might have a problem with scheduling a pick up due to them being so busy, Lori gave us her cell number and made sure to squeeze us in right in time for our move. I would absolutely recommend PODS Santa Maria! It made our move simple and stress free.
