This place is old school cool. All the gentlemen are so lovely and honest. I returned a piece of jewelry, no questions asked. They polished my grandmother's jade ring and they repaired a gold bracelet for me & did such a great job! This place is really a gem. Pardon the pun.

Melby's Jewelry in Orcutt is fantastic. I have been married almost 40 years and I just had my wedding ring's largest diamond put back in my original ring. They did a great job and for a respectable price! I also had a few necklaces fixed and they put a clasp that helps me get the necklace on easier. I live in Solvang and always drive to see my friends at Melby's! It family owned and they take pride in their work. Thank u for helping me.

A close friend of mine recommended Melby's when I came into the market for an engagement ring. From my first visit, I was absolutely certain that I would make a purchase at this store. I ended up getting an engagement ring here, and now my fiancé and I have also purchased our wedding bands. I dealt with Aaron Melby who is just an all around awesome guy. Aaron went out of his way to accommodate our schedules, discrete communications regarding the ring so it wouldn't tip of my (now) fiancé, the attention to detail, everything. My experience could not have been better. Melby's is not the kind of place to up sell you, they listen to your needs, tell you the pros and cons of each option and never put pressure on you while making a decision. Aaron told me his goal is to make it easy when ring shopping because the wedding planning is already hard enough - easy he did make it!Aaron went through every quality of diamond (clarity, color, carat and other specifications that were frankly over my head) and explained the difference between each so I could make the most informed decision. It's impressive how knowledgeable these guys are. I have already made recommendations to friends to check out Melby's and will continue to shop here for all of my jewelry/ watch needs in the future. If you get in the market for an engagement ring, or any other jewelry need for that matter, do yourself a favor and stop by Melby's

I recently moved in to the Orcutt area and wanted to get my watch adjusted so I decided to check this place out and keep it local but to my surprise I walked in and was greeted by a gentlemen and told him my watch was too big and needed to be adjusted if he could help me with it. Right away it seemed like I was being a bother to him as it looked like he was watching the World Cup games and told me it would be an hour and then told me it would be $30 to adjust it he then looked further into the repair and said he wouldn't recommend Doing anything do it as it would be too tight after he takes off a link and to me to just leave it as is.... I was kind of blown away to be told that as I've had a few watches adjusted in other places in my life... today I decided to stop by Anthony's jewelers and they did the repair on the spot and told me it was only going to be $10 and now the watch fits perfect again. I will probly never step foot into this place again it was my first and probly my last time I'll go elsewhere

Everyone here at Melby's provides top-of-the-line service! Working with them has been nothing shy of stellar and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to either purchase or repair jewelry or watches. As soon as I walked through the door, they greeted me with a smile and were very attentive to my questions and requests. My fiancé and I were looking for a ring and during the process of finding the right one, they were incredibly helpful from beginning to end! Overall, a spectacular family-run jewelry store that I look forward to using in the future for any potential purchases or needs!

What great service!!! I went in to get my out of shape ring to get an estimate to get it fixed. He took it to the back and when he came back out the ring was repaired and cleaned! I went to other jewelers to get estimates and they usually said that the work would take about 2 or 3 weeks. Melby's jewelers on site repair service is great! Thank you!

Fantastic service! I stopped in last week to inquire if they could replace the battery in my Victorinox watch. Aaron confirmed that he could and even offered to deliver it to my work (across the street) as I was due to start my shift soon. While replacing the battery, he discovered that the jeweler that had replaced it before (not from Melby's Jewelers) had not replaced the gasket. Thankfully, no significant damage had occured (love Victorinox time pieces!); and he replaced the missing gasket at no extra charge. Aaron was friendly, helpful, communicative and went above and beyond. Their show room is well cared for and filled with beautiful quality pieces. Thank you, Aaron!

$30 to remove some links out of my watchband? Really? I understand that you have to keep the lights on, but I just went to JB's in Santa Maria Town Center and they did it in about 5 minutes and only charged me $7.

I HIGHLY recommend Melby's Jewelers. Alex helped us throughout the whole process of a engagement ring from the design to an appraisal. The store itself is clean and spacious. I picked Melby's specifically for their customer service, then they sold me on my ring using a blueprint program thing which shows you a 3D high quality design of the ring you designed ?. Alex's positive demeanor and creativity went beyond my expectations and now I LOVE my ring. Thank you ?✨
