  I had a terrible experience at this tire shop while visiting family in Santa Maria. The owner tried to charge me $300 for a wheel repair, which is outrageous considering the wheel itself costs only $300-$400 new. To make matters worse, I went to another shop in the same area, and they quoted me just $100 for the same repair. As someone not from this town, I was shocked by the unreasonable pricing and felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. I will never return to this shop and definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

  Amazing service! My family has done business with J's for many years. Just before Christmas, I had a blowout on the vehicle I was towing behind my motorhome on the way to SM. Every shop I called would not try to source the tire until after Christmas. This would add an additional 1-2 days delay to our trip. Jose found the specific tire and arranged to have it waiting for us. He had us back on the road the day after Christmas.

  My car had a tire blowout on Highway 101 and I had to get it towered to the nearby Motel 6 on Thanksgiving night. The next day, because they opened early, I decided to give them a shot. They came to the motel, brought the wheel and the damaged tire to the shop, and came back with a new tire. They did the work professionally and charged a price that I think is fair. So my experience has been positive here.
  
  Unfortunately, my car had a flat tire and broke down on Route 101 on Thanksgiving night, so I had to tow it to Motel 6. I called them early the next morning and they sent someone to replace the new tires. The operation was professional and the charge was reasonable in my opinion.

  Amazing service from J's. I recently had part of my exhaust fall off right outside their shop. I went in and spoke with a few employees who let me borrow a floor jack and I was able to re bolt my exhaust on the side of the road. They did not charge me and were nothing but helpful. Highly recommend, as they are honest, and use good hardware.

  Negative a million stars if I could -- A few years back, I brought my rare and desirable 1960's racing mag wheels in for some machining restoration work that J himself said he would do. Every time I called for status I got a different story on what was or wasn't done, consistently contradicting himself, and that they'd be ready shortly. When I finally got tired of the lies after a few months, I went down and insisted on picking them up. J got all bent about that and after waiting forever, he had one of his employees give me back my wheels which were in boxes and covered with grease. In boxes, really? Did he think I was stupid? I immediately removed them from his boxes to see that NONE of the work he had lied about had been done. He refused to give me the special order lugnuts I had ordered likely because he never ordered them to begin with. AITA? I suspected he was going to sell these old, rare, desirable mags out from under me once he found the right buyer. Don't do business with this liar. BTW, I restored these period-correct mags myself and they look stellar.

  Stay away from this so called business the worse customer Service you’ll ever receive from “Bob” yup that’s the guy who looked at my 2011 bmw rim had two tiny cracks needed welding over the phone he said it was around $85-100 roughly so when I arrived on 9/22/22 about 10:45am he said you’ll need to pay $275 I asked Bob why so much the cracks are tiny they charge less than that at other tire welder repair shops his reply “take your wheel and car somewhere else then buy your gonna pay me my money for looking at it”. I was like excuse me you didn’t say there’s a fee just to look at my tire at the counter I asked for a manager Bob replied there’s no manager here and I asked can I get a business card please he replied with a bad attitude “give me my $25 bucks please” he didn’t even want to write up a receipt either as his customer service was being more and. More sketchy I called a Santa Maria PD to witness the poor customer service I was treated THINK TWICE BEFORE DOING ANY REPAIRS HERE READ REVIEWS !!!!

  Took an axel to get a wheel baring done and were told it wouldn't take too long. First day I called they said we are working on it we'll call. 2nd day called were told yeah we're working on it give us a couple of hours we'll call you. Nope no one called that day day 3 same thing until I went in to see what the hold up was again I was told today it will be done. Then he calls and tells us he can't find the wheel baring we brought it.. nope didn't bring one I told you needs a new wheel baring you said you would get it. So finally they called at the end of the day and the total price would be $325.00! Wow this was ridiculous but what could we do needed it to put our truck back together. This should not have cost so much. Did a little research and the baring only cost $50. Never going back there again. Not recommending that place to anyone!! One star was too much for them but in order to write a review I had to put a star.

  Family owned for over 40 years. Absolute great customer service! Variety of tire/rim services available. Got two new tires, restored rim for my S550. Thorough job done. Depending on work needed job may take a lil while. However, you want proper job done, never rushed. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment.

  Having to take someone to court to get money back for something ordered months ago is not a happy experience. i dont wish on anyone. So here is your warning. Don't do business with this shop.

  As a disabled veteran requesting help for a flat tire less than 2 blocks from the shop, i was told by Jose that I would need to bring in the car, I needed to bring in my car even though I had told him a few times that I am disabled and mobility issues and if I could would change it out to bring the tire to him. He then told me he would charge me for the repair at $98 but would give me a discount to repair it adding insult to injury he then tells me to callback at 9 am to further discuss because the issue of driving the car to the shop. Again, I said I was disabled and would need help. He ignored what I had told him several times.I would not recommend this shop or customers and will tell my military and veterans to avoid this place as I was treated with no respect and in a condescending fashion.Even when I tried calling prior to the actual conversation the shops phone or whoever's kept hanging up. If I could would not even give 1 star due to the poor business rapport and treatment. I called American Tire Depot and was treated as a customer should and they were open till 6 pm and waited for this disabled veteran to have his car towed to that shop in which they repaired the tire for NO CHARGE TO THIS DISABLED VETERAN.I would recommend American Tire Depot wholeheartedly.Do Not go to J's Tire & Wheel as they disrespect one (disabled) veteran he can and will disrespect others.disrespect

  These guys saved my life over the thanksgiving holiday. I had a cracked rim and was 300 miles from home. On Black Friday they called a welder in to fix the rim and saved my holiday. I give them 10 stars!!!

  Made an appointment a week in advance gfor alignment and they said it was $70 since I was referred. When I came back they didn't know about the appointment so had to wait. Said it would take 30 min. Was there for over an hour waiting. Saw they were done with my car and still waited 25 more min just for someone to charge me. They denied saying it was $70 even after telling them that when i came back before they started the job. Only went there because I was referred on the price when I could've gone to other shops that was reasonably priced. The waiting area place is so dusty, even their chairs were dusty. No air conditioning, the shop was hot inside i was so uncomfortable waiting in that situation over an hour! Terrible shop, better to go somewhere else.

  Homegrown. Great business with experienced help. None like it around anymore. Tried other big name places, they're all about appointments and money and good buy. J's treats you like family or good friends. ?

  Horrible customer service! They ordered tires 3 +weeks ago and we never received them. We paid over $2,400 and it's been over a week and a half since we requested a refund & still don't have our $ back. I wouldn't ever go here or refer anyone there! They have no problem taking your $$$, but won't give it back when you don't get your order!! I called and the owner hung up on me. Stay clear from this place, it's ridiculous!

  Good hometown service plus they have cool old school antiques to check out while you wait in the office … Jose and Cesar are the best!
