It's impressive how messy it can become. Too bad some customers makes the shopping experience harder for others than it should be. Theft, throwing and leaving items on ground, piles of clothes for the retail employees to work, a great amount of exercise work for them, hurray!! Everybody probably enjoy the overtime pay. To some customers, it seems that they didn't learn how to act properly in public. Some of the issues probably come from corporate HQ, like in other retail stores, they are limited to a budget or ignore great ideas that can potentially improve customers service in the long term but refuse to invest a bit more money in the company like it has no future. Overall good customer service but it could be better.

This store needs help. It is dirty, items all over the place and empty shells everywhere. Second floor is just sad...nobody to assist you and looks abandoned.

One of the managers grabbed my bag and violently searched it without permission. She told my friend and I that we have stolen items. She yelled and us and followed us to another store and searched my friends pants and hoodie without their permission.

The worker followed me and my friend out of the store into another store (Tails) to search us for stealing something we didnt take. Grabbed my friends bag to look in it without permission and also searched in my pockets in my hoodie and pants for the blush she thought we stole.

They don't offer any maternity clothes in store, it's only available online. This is frustrating.

I had such a nice experience today at Macy's. I was waiting in line to make a return in the shoe department & a lovely woman approached & said she could ring me up at her register. I am at the age where I have seen a lot of change in the retail world. All I can say is Associate 71115670 took such good care of me & the young men in the sneaker section were very nice as well. I have never had intentional bad service there, if anything I love the associates, there is just not enough of them...

As a plus-size woman, it's increasingly hard to find nice clothing in Santa Maria. Macy's used to be one of the few places to shop. Their recent reconfiguration and downsizing of that department is dramatic. You used to be able to go to Macy's and find a pretty good selection of casual and dress clothes in the plus size, not so anymore. Their women's clothing department is massive yet they have hardly any space allocated to plus size clothing. With the closing of the Avenue dress shop last year, they could have a corner on the market, if they chose to expand this department. This is a missed opportunity for Macy's.

Macy's is far from what it used to be...it has become a discount store. The second floor looks more like a run down messy Ross. It's dirty and disgusting. The entire store is on its way out to be replaced by more of the same

Miriam over in shoe department is the worst help ever. I've come in multiple times to purchase shoes and her behavior towards a customer is absolutely appalling. Rude, brushes you off. Girl I know you don't have nothing else important to do aside be pressed about shuffling shoes. Most of the staff in that shoes department need to get replaced. If your so unhappy to do your job get another one.

Someone turned the upstairs into a discount mall. 1/2 their product is on the floor, it's filthy & crammed together like TJ Maxx on Black Friday.

Went in to buy some dresses,anytime I would ask a question the 2 young people in dress department would kinda ignore me and were no help because they were to in volved in a personal convo with each other,and when I asked the young man about a price he was pretty much talking to me like I was stupid.When I went to check out at customer service or whatever it's called,I walk up and the lady just ignores that I'm waiting to check out and keeps doing her thing for a few minutes til finally I'm like "im ready".The whole time she didn't say a word to me and made it known she was irritated and kept tossing things on the counter in a harsh manner and then made it seem like it's my fault for a tag not being on one of the dresses and started making a big deal about it as if it were the end of the world.

Great sales...a bit understaffed, but all the staff they do have are above par. They go out of their way to help you, and are very knowledgeable. Another thing though I wish they had was carts..( elegant carts like kohl's would be great) without a cart its frustrating because your arms & hands start hurting, I was dripping things etc...& forget shopping in multiple departments....people would be able to do a lot more shopping with a cart... I went in one time & was looking for numerous household items like kitchenware etc. But was unable to carry what I wanted so I gave up & just left. Hopefully in the future they may get some because I really like the quality of products here.
