Yogi Berra once said when asked his opinion about a popular restaurant," nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded." CVS has been my drugstore since I moved to the Bent Coast from San Diego more than three years ago. Their personnel behind the checkout counters and in the pharmacy have been head and shoulders above the CVS people in San Diego. However, whether it's due to COVID burnout or rapid A.I. adaptation, things they are a changing!Problem# 1I am an 82 year old that still appreciates human to human interactions. I have two prescriptions that I have been getting filled since I moved here . More than a year ago my need/dosage for one of the prescriptions has been cut in half. I need half as many pills. I have explained this to at least 5 different pharmacy workers over the last year. Their automatic refill system keeps sending me texts that my prescription is ready every three months. Each time this happens I call the pharmacy and am put on hold for 15 minutes. I finally get an understanding person who tells me they will fix the problem. Right now I have 360 pills. Despite this abundance, I got another text last week saying that 180 more pills were ready! This occurred the day after I called and told the pharmacy I was good for another nine months. Evidently at least five pharmacy personnel were too busy to disable the auto refill algorithm instructions for my account. This has become an aggravating "dance."Problem#2I called CVS on September 18, 2023 to ask about getting the RSV vaccination. As usual I was put on hold for 15 minutes! While on hold, I got a recorded message that my prescription would be ready tomorrow (see problem #1 above). A pharmacy representative finally answered and I told them one more time that I had a years worth of pills already. They told me they would fix the problem. It was not fixed because the next day I received a text telling me that my pills were ready. Next I asked about RSV vaccinations. They said that they have RSV vaccines but to make a reservation for one, you have to do it online. I asked if the reservation could be done over the phone now. They replied "no, it must be done online." I hung up and tried it online. The CVS automated system was set up for COVID. However, to do reservations for an RSV shot, I had to go to another online location that required a password. I didn't have a password. The next day September 19, 2023, I drove to CVS and arrived at 11 AM. There were three people ahead of me in the pharmacy line. Two of them finished up very quickly and I went to the consultation window and asked about getting an RSV shot. The window person said that unless I have an appointment, they don't do walk-ins until 2PM. I think a "customer-in-hand" is worth two in a competitor's drugstore! I went out to my car, called Walgreens, talked to their pharmacy with zero time on hold. They told me they did RSV shots. I took 10 minutes to drive there. I walked in, filled out two pages of questions, and got my shot by 12 Noon!I am now willing to do my part to help CVS from being overworked. Their competitor has humans that answer the phone, they don't force you to use A.I. for simple requests and they don't chase customers with money in their hot hands from their store.

Great store. On my last visit, the elderly cashier accused me of trying to use a coupon that wasn't mine....I guess some numbers didn't match. Used self checkout and didn't have a problem. Was hoping to grab what I needed and go with no hassle.

The pharmacists there, Andy and Christian, are so professional and helpful! I can always trust on them to be super fast and friendly. When I called in to check on my prescriptions, Christian picked up in less than 5 minutes and helped me right away.

Went in attempted to use a 40% off coupon that was loaded on my card AND WAS SHOWN TO THE STAFF IN THE FORM OF MY EMAIL WHICH STATED IT HAD BEEN LOADED AND READY TO BE USED. First attempt told me I had to use it on a product that wasn’t on any type of sale as the ONE product I wanted was by one get one 50 percent off. Went back to get another product and then was I informed it wasnt showing on the screen. Wasn’t honored the coupon so left without the product that I wanted and NO COUPON WAS USED. Terrible staff didn't offer to apply a valid discount. That’s what I literally went in there for and it was clear to the staff and it was dead along with the fact when I went to the register the second time the female cashier addressed my coupon before I did. WONT RETURN TO THIS CVS.

I made a appinment to get my vcuinne. Came to store on time and finished check in on the phone. Get into the store to the mini clinic area there is no nurse! Wait for a while than ask pharmacy people: "Where is the nurse?" I was told she is on lunch break! When I was make the appointment online, there was one hour blocked out for lunch time. My appointment time is not lunch hour. 45 minutes later now, there is no sign of the nurse, and no explanation from other people who are working. There other people start come in waiting to get their vcuinne too. What is a point of make an appointment if you still have to chance to get the service any way? At last about one hour later from my appointment time, I finally get my vcuinne. I do have to said the nurse is OK if you get chance to meet her.

Everything takes like 30 minutes longer than it should. Tried getting my tetanus booster there, and they didn't even bother to sign my immunization record. Stuck waiting for the 1 person able to sign it while the rest of the staff acts like they've never worked with the computer system before. I don't usually leave reviews but jeez avoid CVS at all costs. Never coming here for anything again. I'd rather drive all the way across town to Costco.

Terrible customer service from Julia at the pharmacy. I dropped off an Rx at this pharmacy and then received a voicemail from them saying there was a problem with the way it was written. When I called to inquire what was wrong with the Rx she first claimed I was calling the wrong pharmacy and they had no record of the Rx being dropped off there. I asked to to check again because in the 6 years I have lived here I have never gone anywhere else. Also since its a controlled substance, I can't just ask the Dr for a new Rx without giving back the old one. Apparently Julia thought she placed the call on hold. I heard her talking about me to the other people working in the pharmacy calling me a crazy mom. I heard one of her coworkers say that knew where the Rx was was When that the date had been written wrong. When she tried to put me off hold, she placed the call on hold.On and off a few times. When she finally got back on the line I asked what was wrong with the Rx? She said it was written incorrectly. I asked which part? She said I would have to pick it up to find out and accused me of being unfriendly. She hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. I called back to the store and spoke to the Pharmacy manager Yen as I drove to the store. Upon arrival I over heard them talking about me saying "oh she is just mad she has to come back to pick up the Rx" but in reality I was mad about the terrible customer service provided by Julia. I yet again overheard them talking about me. Julia denied hanging up on me and claimed they are having phone issues. Yen deflected concerns. Now I am waiting on a call back from the store manager.
