My drink was tasty (Red Queen) too.I was there right when doors opened so I was seated in the front of the stage. The place is a nice size but they pack everyone in pretty good. I was in the first seat of the row so I had leg room thank God.The main reason I went was for Chaunte Wayans and she did not disappoint! I really enjoyed her style of comedy.”

“I went to a wedding reception here...have to say it's a pretty cool place to have a party or venue...it's in the industrial part of town..so loud music is no problem..and the building is old with it's awesome new deco vibe...the parking outside kinda sucks...and definitely not in the greatest and safest area of downtown Boyle Heights..but still..it's definitely a great place to consider...I would go to this place again and again..”

“So, guess what? At Jump Jungle today, I spotted someone pulling off the last block from the wall, unveiling a bunch of rocks. I was like, "Uh, maybe fix that?" And you won't believe it – even with the front desk craziness, the tall dude rocked at helping us out. They cleaned up, and magically, my kid went from accident-prone to a mini ninja without a scratch. Big kudos to him for being our hero and being so nice and helpful and telling everyone to look at their kids because parents seemed unaware of the dangers and all and the staff really seemed chill and relaxed – we're pumped to swing by again!”

From the minute you sit down with them to tell them your vision, they work to make it happen. They take all the stress and worry with planning so you don't have to. They are in constant communication with any questions, updates or just to see how you are doing.The day of your event, Alexis, Mariah and Art and the whole staff make your event stress free and memorable. We had a couple of issues arise with the guest dietary needs during the dinner. Alexis and Mariah and the chef handled it beautifully. Alexis had let me know what they had did for the guests to make sure they were able to enjoy the whole event.What more could you ask for? Crystal Marquis is the best!!”

“This cultural center has been around for as long as I can remember! I've participated in a good amount of TECCO-hosted programs and it's always nice to come and spend some time here. Parking is never a problem here - there are plenty of spaces and the parking lot is free. There are restrooms (and lots of them). And the amenities have generally been well kept across the years I've been here. I've submitted college applications for universities in Taiwan here. I've also come here for multiple music performances, attended leadership conferences, joined TAP or TJCC hosted events here, and much more. You can also renew your Taiwan passport here - they're really helpful and can also answer any questions via phone call (but they might speak limited English).”
“Winter Camp was such an amazing experience for my boy. It was his first time attending Oodles and he felt comfortable and welcomed since day one. He truly enjoyed it. “Very nice and new hotel, huge TVs, super clean. My only complaint is that all the lights in the rooms were super bright fluorescent bulbs, including in the bathroom where you could only turn on all lights at 100%, or no light. There was no way to have only a small light or dim light on at night, like to go to the bathroom. That said, overall it was a great stay! Solid breakfast in the morning.”

Co Thuy was so great to work with - very accommodating, especially with helping us set up multiple extra tables (unplanned) as folks showed up without RSVPing. She is so friendly and flexible. Definitely recommend Mon Amour for events!”

“I hosted a baby shower here back in November. I have been meaning to post a review of this venue for some time but ofc we quickly got busy after the baby shower!! LOL. First i would like to mention that we live in Nevada. We needed to find a venue in California for our baby shower because most of our family is from there. We STRUGGLED to find a venue in California that wasn't overpriced and that had all the amenities we needed (i.e. a kitchen, a bar, and tables/chairs). We searched for weeks (months in advance) for a venue that could accommodate us for a reasonable price. We stumbled upon this venue on a google review for venues in southern California on one of the very last pages. This place far exceeded our expectations for a venue!!! When we contacted the owner (John) he answered his phone, and not only was he extremely nice, he was very informative. The venue was reasonably priced, he had tables & chairs (included in venue price), there was a bar inside the venue but secluded from party area, they offer open bar (for a price) or self pay bar, and they had a HUGE kitchen where they allow you to cater your own food. This place was AMAZING. The best part of the venue was that they offer you 2 hours the day prior to the venue to come set things up, and an hour prior for caterers and vendors to come into the event to complete ur set up; this was unheard of at any other venue. Not to mention, most places require you to use their catering service for an astronomical unreasonable price per person.I do not want to mention the venue price because that may vary depending on your requests, however, i will say that it was significantly less than any of the other venues that we checked out in the area for everything that was included. Its definitely worth your effort of a quick call. The pictures on the website and on the online reviews really dont do it justice. The venue is located in a very nice area of Buena Park and placed in a quiet cul-de-sac in an overpass. Do yourself a favor a drive by if you get a chance.By some stroke of luck, the venue was available for the date of our baby shower! John, his wife, and another gentleman were available on site for anything we needed. They were also serving drinks at the bar.The day before the event John was there to let us in and set up he kindly helped us set up tables for 125 people. He also offered white table linens, for which he charges a cleaner fee, but it is worth it for the convenience alone. The day of the event he allowed all my vendors in an hour before and my family and I finished our set up. During the event he helped manage the temperature in the venue and checked in on us constantly to ensure we had everything we needed.Ever since the baby shower I have not stopped thinking about how magical the day was for us. Also about how i NEED to post a review for them. Our day was way better than we had anticipated....and I attribute the success of my event to John, his wife, and the venue overall. I wish i would have taken a picture with them =/. Regardless, I hope you can reference my attached pictures to get an idea of what the venue looks like.”

“I initially went here today to get my gas bill paid, but the funding was exhausted. I met Evelyn, and we hit it right off. Everything in my life was going wrong, and I DO mean everything. My mom passed away in 2017, my close friend and landlord Jerald (the first person I met when I came to California in 1977) had a quadruple bypass surgery 11 days ago (he's healing well, for 84 years), and my good friend Erik passed away 4 days ago, I have known him since I came to California too. Don't worry, I am seeing a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, things have been that bad. And in comes Evelyn. She went above and beyond to help me out, she paid the electric bill (I have to call her on Jan. 2 to make sure about gas funding), and to top it all off, she brought me a cart full of groceries, all name brand and all stuff we use. She is truly an angel on this Earth. She deserves a much-needed raise. She didn't have to do the things she did. And she was so pleasant and upbeat, it completely changed my frame of mind.
