Bulk department needs better structure, opened from 12:30-2:30 but they close from 1-2 for employee breaks. they have one staff member in the department who has to run around from the front to the back and can not answer questions, staff members in the front are unaware of policies for bulk department. Over all sending out bulk mail should not have to be an over an hour process. Ridiculous.

This post office is terrible when it comes to their logistics and customer service. 100+ people were waiting today to get their passports taken care of and was guaranteed a spot since people that came later got turned down. Then when 2:40pm hits they just tell the immediate front they’re closing and leave 100+ people in the dark. So we all waited since all of us came before 6 or 7. Then at the end marcielo lies to everyone saying he told everyone they were closed and proceeded to lock the door with a proper explanation. So in short we waited 6-7+ hours in the heat to get turned down last minute because they said they didn’t think that many people wouldn’t have some of their documents. Cmon even the DMV knows that and prepares for that. Just terrible logistical nightmare and terrible customer service. Wouldn’t recommend it ever!

I had an appointment at a set time.I showed up early and waited in line. Didn't think I was supposed to walk in front of everyone.I got to the front a couple minutes after my appointment time.At that time, they asked me to wait on the side so they could help other people in line.It was already about 10 minutes into my appointment window by the time I was helped and they took my picture.I then had to fill out a form, so they helped someone else while I filled it out. This only took me about 5 minutes. When I finished the form, my appointment window was over and the employee told me I had to wait while they finished the appointment for the person after me. I was fine with this, I wasn't in a hurry. The employee helping me then clocked out and his replacement told me I was late and refused to help me!Their supervisor told me I would have to be rescheduled to a different day.Overall, I was there for over an hour and only ~5 minutes of that time was I being helped. The other hour of my time was spent waiting. What this boils down to is that if they had honored their sacred appointment windows in the first place and helped me when it was time, I wouldn't have had to deal with all of this.If you show up early/on time, DO NOT let them tell you to wait. They will not honor appointments after the "appointment window" even if it is arguably their fault for delaying you.Update: I went in for my rescheduled appointment and it took maybe 7 minutes to process my documents. Although this time it went smoothly, I still think it should have been dealt with on the original day -- especially if we're talking about just 7 minutes.

There is good service and then there is great service. The service from branch manager Marcelo was beyond great. I had an issue with a lost package. Marcelo went out of his way for over a week to resolve my issue. He was in contact with via email and even met with me in person. Thanks to him, I was able to get a refund. He saved me over $300. Even if you don't live in Santa Fe Springs, I recommend you come to this branch. You will be treated with respect and care. Thank you again, Marcelo and SFS Post Office.

I love this post office. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. They always have a positive attitude regardless of what situation and how busy they are. Let's be grateful and patient to our essential workers. If you don't have a purpose to go to the post office, just go and buy stamps. :)
