Response- What don't you get? I shopped at your market for 17 years. I liked your market. I enjoyed the professionals you are hiding behind. It's the store's management/ownership that has been negatively reviewed.My son found another job and gave 2 weeks notice (everyone could have walked away happy). Your company was not prepared to pay him out on his final day of work, as required by California Labor law. Either you feel you're above the law or you don't understand it. When he asked about being paid, he was told to contact the office manager. Problem is, her father had died. You knew that at the time you told him to talk with her. In other words, you hid behind her tragedy. He was offered $100 from the till if he left a check for $100. That's not being paid. Are you seeing the clearer picture yet? When he filed the wage claim, you called him to intimidate him into dropping the claim. When he refused, you called back and told him to never come back to the store. You were forced, by law, to pay the claim. Legitimate management doesn't do that. Thugs do that.The employees keep a clean store well stocked. The management team is inept and tends to be thuggish. That's at issue.I wrote to the owner and never received a response. This is my only venue.Great store. Terrible management. I'd avoid shopping here or any of the businesses this family owns.Edit- 4/15/2024 Note the management's cowardly response doesn't address the issue- They chose to work outside labor law. The state found they were wrong. Given the facts, they choose to attack the employee. They never addressed the issue raised- failure to pay on time and an abusive call placed by management. Their obfuscation of the facts by attacking the employee should tell you all you need to know about the quality of their character.

By far the best grocery experience around. Shopper's has an amazing selection in a small store that's easy to navigate and find what you want, whatever it is, without walking for miles in a large corporate big box like Whole Foods.The produce and butcher are top notch. If you want the best veggies, this will usually be better than even the farmer's market.

I have been a 20+ year Shoppers Corner patron. It’s my local neighborhood grocery store and I love it and always have a great experience. I’ve gotten to know so many of the butchers and cashiers personally over the years and it continues to be my favorite grocery store. I love the small personal feel and how easy it is for me to find everything and has wide variety or everything I could want and need from brand names to specialty and high end items to local makers and farms.

Great place but crazy parking by the side of the store where two cars can pull in on both the right and left sides. Someone hit my car so watch closely when pulling out of there. No big problem though, I met the nice lady who I had the accident with and it was a minor incident.

Excellent selection, wonderful wine dept, helpful butcher/fishmonger dept, great dairy choices, competent and friendly (high school) cashiers. We walk here from our place in Seabright to take care of all our grocery needs to keep our money local.
