Such a cute & whimsical store right into the heart of downtown Santa Cruz! From the outside in, the store looks like it'd sell furniture and antiques only for the serious (read: wealthy) collector. However, the store also has tucked away some delightful finds that are easier on the budget, from beautiful Japanese ceramic dishes to bunny shaped soap to dainty modern jewelry. If you're looking for a uniquely beautiful gift, this is the place to go!

I have been a collector of Asian furnishing and art most of my life. Without question, Shen's Gallery is at the top of my list for several reasons: April Shen is a delight to deal with...she is full of integrity and knowledge, their prices are very fair, customer service is extraordinary and their selection is outstanding. They have been in business for close to 40 years and take great pride in their honesty, knowledge and fairness...and rightly so.

A MUST visit antique shop at Santa Cruz downtown! Bought some mugs with Japanese style unique design and Taiwanese tea. The tea is very high quality and taste very delicious. Shen's gallery is definitely a hidden gem in Santa Cruz

Absolutely love, love, love this store. It has a certain air of peace about it, and it has a nice variety of things including a new dish section that I think she said all comes from Japan. I'm so excited to bring my BF here

A must stop when in Santa Cruz! The items on display will have you “ooo and ahhh” left and right! If you are fortunate enough to arrive when they have there imported oolong tea available it is worth the purchase to enough the subtle spring notes in the rich tea.

April Chen is a jewel. Unique Chinese treasures at a very reasonable price. I bought my wife a chest( dating back to 17th century Ming Dynasty) for her Buddhist meditations for a Christmas present.
