I called the shop to see if they can repair a Pentax camera that needed new buttons. The guy from the shop didn't seem to understand me after I tried explaining my situation at least three times. He then went on to say that he doesn't buy cameras (not even close to what I was inquiring). When I offered to send him photos of my camera to further explain, he got frustrated and said that he "didn't have the time." Rude and unprofessional. I wanted to end this unpleasant exchange immediately. I will never give this place any of my business.

He was great! Walked me though the process and his plan for my cleaning/repair. He is a professional and took down the info on all items left with him and had me confirm serial numbers and items before I left. Camera was like new when I got it back, cleaner than I have ever seen it, all for a price I was very happy with. Thank you!

Carlos is awesome. He got my girlfriend's old Samsung 8mm tape camcorder working when I had basically given up all hope of finding a way to fix it. He's definitely the best option around for getting your camera fixed.

He helped me fix my Yashica 635 TLR film camera which was a very sentimental item to me, for an affordable price (and fast) and worked with me on the details. He is very understanding and kind, and his passion for cameras really shows. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs their cameras fixed in the Bay Area!

Do not go here! He is a rude guy who told me "fix my camera yourself" and after reading some reviews I see he has broken cameras before so I'm glad I didn't bring my camera in. He says he is booked for months in advance and was very ignorant on the phone saying we aren't a free service and fix it myself when all I asked was too come in for a quick repair. Please avoid this business and if anyone can point me in the direction of a proper camera repair let me know!

I inherited one of my grandmothers old film cameras, a vivitar ps 35, only to find out that it no longer worked. I didn't want to give up on the camera since it has a strong sentimental value. Santa Cruz Camera Repair was the only place within a 60 mile radius that did repairs, so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. Carlos is such a kind and knowledgeable fellow! I paid a $60 diagnostic fee, which Carlos later used as credit, so the cost to repair the camera had $60 deducted from it. My boyfriend and I are very happy with the service we received from Carlos and I cannot say how happy I am that my grandma's camera is working again! I highly recommend going to Santa Cruz Camera Repair and so glad I decided to go! Thank you Carlos!

Carlos was super nice and professional. He was upfront about pricing and timescales. His shop is nice and clean and full of nice old cameras.Carlos found that my camera had bad damage to the lense electronics and the replacement part was too expensive to make the repair economical. So I just paid a very reasonable diagnostic fee, his honesty was really appreciated.Really pleased with his service.

Got an old West German camera in South America, must have been pretty dusty cuz it seized after one roll of film. This guy was able to fix it up and make it shoot perfectly once again. Huge thanks for great service at a reasonable price.

Carlos is the best of the best when it comes to camera repair. He has helped me with several of my vintage film cameras. Very honest and hardworking. My camera was completely broken and did not look salvageable but he took out ALL of the parts and put it into new housing and saved my lens. Incredible work. Thank you so much, Carlos.
