We had an uncomfortable experience at the pacific mall store today , the store manager young woman basically telling me to go find what I was looking for by myself, she said it's over there on many different racks and dismissed me to go find it , In defense of her she might have profiled me as an entitled white male with possible expendable dollars to spend on gifts cards for his 5 adult kids but she was wrong I left and bought the gift cards across the way at your competition!

I have been in this place before I started learning to surf. I have never felt anything positive from ONeill showing the love of surfing especially for women. Everything in here is insanely impractical especially for the Bay Area and it's pretty crazy considering how much talent make and female exists in this region. Women who shop here will end up having to go to the men's section for anything practical. I'm not sure what viewpoint their marketing team has but it seems similar to the men and women who have been running Victoria's Secret, maybe there will be someone from the wetsuit division who will purge all the bad marketing and product people and bring the brand back to life. At least it's not as toxic as Roxy!

Beyond O'Neill being the best long lasting great fitting wetsuit brand, the team at ONeill Surf Shop on 41st in Santa Cruz, CA are absolutely excellent. They are kind and helpful, have outstanding customer service and use common sense. That is a huge compliment these days. Thanks to Maddie, Leila and the rest of the team. They provide an awesome experience in and out of the store. Keep it up team, you are a big part of why O'Neill is the best surf brand period!

This is absolutely the WORST company when it comes to customer service! Multiple emails and attempts to reach them via telephone & no response!! Will never purchase this brand again! Beware!

Great merch, awful service. I got the perfect thing for my freezing evening lap-swims - yay! But all 3 times I went, the staff was a group of teens chatting at the counter, ignoring customers. I had to wait to ask my first question, then, they just gave me a quick answer and pointed in a general direction, I had some questions so I went back, waited for them to let me ask, and they basically didn't answer and went on chatting. Same thing when I went back and then went back the final time to make my (awesome!) purchase - just paying for it meant waiting for teens to stop chatting, and then have them all hesitate to help me because none of them wanted to leave their juicy conversation.

I was very disappointed with the service. If you might need a refund DO NOT BUY WITH CASH. They refused me a $200. cash refund on a wet suit. Wanted to put it back on a card and that would take an undisclosed amount of time to show as credit to my account. Also would not let me try on a wetsuit and their size chart is not terribly accurate. I went back 3 times to exchange for a different size. Its over 50 miles for me to go to that store. I was told I could get the cash refund if I went to the store on 41st ave in Capitola. I drove all the way down there and got the same run around. Finally they gave me the cash. I won't do business with them again. I can do better on the web .I thought my business would be appreciated . Guess not.

I am a young black woman and the employees had their eyes on me the whole time. I was never greeted when I entered the store or asked if I needed help with anything. When I finally checked out the lady at the cashier was very rude to me. Extremely frustrating

It is not often that you find someone who truly cares about customer service. I am a long time customer of ONeill's. I have purchased their Psycho 4/3 and 3/2 wetsuits these past ten years and been very pleased with their fit and quality. I needed a thicker Psycho XLT 5/4 wetsuit and my initial experience at the ONeill Surf Shop on 41st in Capitola was not good. They were low on inventory. They seemed to have no suits for me and did not seem to care enough to go out of their way to find any. I sent an email to ONeill detailing my unsatisfactory experience and received a prompt response. Elfin worked with me to comb the four ONeill Santa Cruz stores for XLT. He found a Psycho XLT at the downtown store. I met him there and I tried it on. It was a perfect fit and I am once again a very happy customer. Thanks to Elfin, I got my stoke back about being an ONeill's customer.
