Really terrific experience working with Laurie to furnish my living room. Natural selection offers good products at very fair prices. Laurie is an experienced designer with great ideas and suggestions. She worked with me to resolve an unforeseen issue and without hesitation came up with a fabulous solution. I am really happy I discovered this store. We purchase a house not long ago, and it was staged with a beautiful table and chairs in the dining room. I figured I would be able to find it easily enough, but after a long search, I couldnt find it. So I asked the realtor where they got the staging furniture and they directed me here. We went in to buy that table, And left buying a couch, two chairs a coffee table and a rug. We love the beach-style of the furnature, and were stunned to find their prices quite reasonable. If you are looking for furnature, give they a look.

Natural Selection is an excellent local business. I bought a beautiful wood dresser and bedside table bedroom set from Laurie this month. Customer service was excellent, Laurie was helpful and kind, and when we had a wonky experience during delivery she was communicative and made sure we were taken care of. We love the furniture and will be back in the future.

I'm so thrilled I finally visited this store. We were so impressed with the lovely pieces and quality of all furniture. Laurie was so helpful, and has a great designer eye which is amazing! She listened to our needs and showed us a few things, but never pushed anything for a sale. I got some great ideas and purchased 2 lamps. We plan to return for living room pieces. I won't waste my time looking anywhere else, she has everything, and if not, she'll work with you to find it, if possible. This is a TREASURE GEM STORE!!!! Susan D

Very nice woman, very nice store and decent prices. I got a custom reversible couch in November of 2018. At first it was extremely firm and uncomfortable but still looked nice. I was hoping it would break in and get more comfortable. It is less firm now but definitely still pretty firm and very uncomfortable to sit and lounge on. I cant decide why it's not comfortable, but my back hurts after sitting on it for more than 15 min and my family complains that it's not comfortable to nap on. Very disappointed in the $1500 I spent on a couch I'm not super happy with.

Bought a floor model on sale here. Absolutely beautiful and appears to be in good condition Laurie was very friendly and helpful. Delivery was quick and affordable. Can't recommend this place enough.

Found a great coffee table and the lady working, Mary was very helpful and showed me several styles I was able to choose from. The price was below the internet advertised unit as well. Overall lots of stuff to choose from and helpful staff so give them a try if your looking in town.

We just received our sectional couch and I'm thrilled! We met Laurie because we bought a sofa from somewhere else and it wasn't working out. She nudged us to go back to the other company as she was sure they would help us which they did. We decided to put that one in another room and returned to buy something more suitable for our needs. This time Rhonda was there. She provided me with such amazing help and I ended up choosing an entirely different piece then I originally planned on. She was so great at explaining materials, foam density, colors etc. Finally someone with honest and good advice! She spent some time with us and I felt comfortable and it was actually fun. Even the delivery people were so nice and respectful. I highly recommend this company in every way.

My wife and I shopped Natural Selection Furniture before visiting all the other furniture stores in Santa Cruz. After looking at all of the other stores we knew Natural Selection is where we would be making our purchases. Laurie's knowledge, insight, and attentive demeanor coupled with the quality furniture available assured us of becoming satisfied customers. Within a week of receiving our living room furniture we went back and purchased another item. Thank you Laurie!

So pleased with our sofa purchase here. Laurie (owner) and Rhonda were excellent, so helpful! We shopped around a few big box stores, and were not thrilled with what we saw for the price. Nothing was quite what we were looking for, but would probably be ok. Then, we found Natural Selection Furniture and were so happy! For a significantly better price, we found a perfect sofa that we could customize in ways we didn't even imagine were possible. I always assumed that local shops would be more expensive than the big box stores, so I was very pleasantly surprised. The sofa was also ready a good two months earlier than the other stores could guarantee. We have been enjoying our new sofa immensely. Highly recommend this place to all for their furniture needs.
