I can't recommend Leibrandt Transport and Moving and Storage any higher. There is not likely to be a better company in Santa Cruz County to handle your move. Sasha and his crew are so careful with your property, and efficient. They made my office move as painless as I could ever imagine.

A great, locally owned company who we hired for UCSC summer storage. Highly recommend.

I recommend this company because when I used them (first time) for a very extensive and stressful move I was immediately impressed by their experience (compared with other movers in Santa Cruz county). Sasha has a way of getting things done and moving forward with a project so you don't have a micromanage the "crew". Something that always was needed like in past experiences. He works with you your expectations discuss the plane and finger's crosses Covid or torrential rains won't hit again !! they were stellar it was a long long job and no matter what they hung in there and helped Sasha is very communicative and pleasant to work with and he's especially good at wrapping precious things

Run, do not walk, away from these people. This is one of the least professional businesses of any kind I've ever come across. In August I had Leibbrandt estimate a move of items we had in storage at a friends house. The plan was to move our belongings to their warehouse for storage for $800. We weren't ready to move until early December and I tried to contact them. After several unreturned phone calls and emails I finally reached them (my call, they never returned any of my initial calls or messages), Then they couldn't find my estimate (!), so I had to scan and email it to them (is this the way it's supposed to work?). Sasah, a nice enough guy, came back to the house where our items were stored and found everything is in the exact same place as in August. He told me he didn't want to store my items anymore (limited resources dues to family reasons - I understand but was surprised nonetheless) so I secured a storage unit 2.5 miles from the house. To my shock I was sent the new estimate (which I had to remind them to send) my move had jumped from $800 to $1200! A 50% increase for what's essentially the same job! The reasons they cited for the increase was that we have a small spinet piano, already completed packed and ready to move in the garage that I told him about but he "forgot" (sloppiness) and an assumption on their part that the storage unit was upstairs and would require more time for the movers to bring things in (it's not - it's first floor with direct access - but they didn't even bother to ask). So basically a huge waste of time, lots of frustration, and a lack of trust in what they tell me. There are better, cheaper movers out there. Don't say I didn't warn you. In case you think any of the above is an exaggeration, here's the exact email they sent me: There is a piano Sasha did not see earlier and was not mentioned to his recollection-considered a large bulky item, we charge extra, most but not all moving companies do. (I did. Is it my fault he didn't write it down? It was right out in the open) You have multiple damaged boxes that we need to protect the contents of. (exactly the same situation as in August) And while going to a public storage, odds are good you will be placed on the second floor. Which requires more time with elevators, long hallways, etc (they assumed and never asked me) Does any of these seem like there should be a 50% surcharge for these three items?
