120 Morrissey Blvd, Santa Cruz“Always love me a bargain at Grocery Outlet! They are the first place I go to shop. They don't have everything but they have good prices. Edit to add: the produce and meat don't always last well. I've been shopping those elsewhere. However the shelf-stable products are fantastic to get there still.”
“They had a great burrito. A little on the spicy side so recommend going mild if you're not into spicy. Very filling. Walked across the street to a great view of crashing waves. Cashier was friendly and happy to be there.”
“Deerbrook Farms - Lavender
Bouquets, plants, wreaths, oil, hydrosol, sachets, soaps, lotions, shampoo bars & culinary lavender and art. Pollinator gardens and monarch habitat. Workshops”
“It's the only store that is the closest to my home. My care provider has been working there and she works for me. It's always nice to shop for my favorite ice cream.”
“By far the best grocery experience around. Shopper's has an amazing selection in a small store that's easy to navigate and find what you want, whatever it is, without walking for miles in a large corporate big box like Whole Foods. The produce and butcher are top notch. If you want the best veggies, this will usually be better than even the farmer's market.”
“Thank goodness for Staff of Life! SoL has the best prices in town on many of my favorite products, including Santa Cruz Mexican Organic coffee, organic coconut milk, tofu, and craft brews. Where else can you find so many nice bakery goods and carry them away in little paper bags instead of oversized unrecyclable plastic clamshells? An excellent selection of produce. The freshest eggs, dairy, and cheeses. Locally caught fish, organic and natural meats, everything fresh and properly handled by the knowledgeable staff. Bulk bins with an extensive selection, including herbs and spices for a much lower price than the packaged spices sold elsewhere, and you control the quantities. Reusable plastic bottles for oil, and liquid soaps and other grooming products. This is the way that I like to live. P.S. If you're a senior, be sure to ask for the discount. :)”
“Its either friendly neighborhood vibes or im being followed. Today was really aggressive, like pretending to look in fridges near me and being right behind me down every aisle. ok yes high rent, ok yes ppl need to get paid, ok “we dont control prices”. Im not unhoused but im often read as sus bc im punk, so the last couple times ive been here I received this carcel treatment. i understand the motives but yall arent taking action to make food more accessible and instead employees have to increasingly Police your own customer base. Have yall tried to figure out a better way to do this, do yall WANT to be cops? I doubt it but yall gotta be creative and stop projecting your hatred for the Unhoused on everyone. Like imagine wanting to support a small business but you are treated hella sus, like damn ill go to get grocery outlet then.”
“It is a small little Mexican neighborhood store with a fresh meat counter in it. The folks that work there are very nice and helpful. I enjoy shopping here they have a good selection of Mexican products along with American product too. For a small store not too bad with prices.”
“High quality, locally owned alternative to Whole Foods that showcases local brands and indie products whenever possible. If you join their loyalty program, they send discounts and high value free items. Not just a can of energy drink or some short dated item that isn't moving (like the big S does) but stuff like half a pound of shrimp the size of your finger, a bag of organic coffee, 750 ml California olive oil, or a bag of organic mandarin oranges. Went in for the free coffee and found a bargain on Bob's Red Mill flour on the same aisle.”
“Best breakfast burritos around. Must have the chorizo and eggs. This market also has a great selection of meat and canned goods. The tortilla packs come in all sizes. The basic fresh produce.”
“This looks like a rural store, old and modest but has a good variety of vegetables, fruit, meets, dairy, house utensils, cleaning supplies and more, good location and parking lot”
“Very fast and friendly service.Respectful and cordial to customers, lounge outside for enjoying the goods purchased from the establishment. Recycling bin separate from garbage pail. COVID free, and NOT subject to flooding. Fresh products.”
“Friendly people. Felt a little uncomfortable the first couple of times. No senior discounts at first but now I guess they've warmed up to me, lol. Overall I love it. Now I REALLY feel uncomfortable in this store. Came to buy some carrot juice and I waited while the cashier was talking to each other. I waited some more but it seemed like I was just getting disrespected and I left without my carrot juice. Come on Gren leaf, you have a few WONDERFUL people working there, but some could use a little bit of courtesy lessons. Thank you tho”
“Great bodega with everything you need run by a lovely family that's been part of the community for as long as I can remember. I came here as a child to buy ice cream and candy and it's still the best place in the neighborhood to pick up whatever you need. A real locals' spot. Long live Circle Market :)”
“Nice market right off the road with plenty of parking..if they are not too busy you could even get a rv pulled in. They have a good selection of grocery, dairy, and beers. Attendant was polite and helpful when I had a question.”
“This is a small neighborhood Safeway with a lot of traffic. I like that they have functional self-service checkout so I can pop in and get ice cream and get out quickly!”
“It's tradition in my family that we order our cakes at Safeway on Mission St. The bakers outdo themselves every time, the customer service is 10/10 (Especially if Bernice is helping you, she is kind, patient and attentive to detail) plus the price can't be beat! I wish I had more photos of the cakes we've ordered over the years but this one is our most recent and one of my favorites.”
“This laundry facility is attached to a mini mart. It does not have a quarter machine, but the clerk at the store will help you out with a minimum purchase from the store side. Washing machines were $3.75, $4.00, or $7.00. The dryers were $0.25 for 6 minutes. "Liquid soap only" labeled on washers, not very many machines, and quite a few were out of service. Luckily, on a Tuesday around lunch, it was deserted. The place was pretty clean, for a laundromat. My clothes are now pretty clean too. I'd use it again if the machines were available. Just be sure to bring your own quarters and liquid detergent!”

304 Ocean St, Santa Cruz“Reg corner store vibes, random objects, all the american and mexi snacks you can ask for, decent beer and cheap wine. 5-stars for not trying to be anything its not.”
“I love Trader Joe's and it was near our vacation rental. A smaller Trader Joe's but had everything we wanted and normally like to buy from there. Service was friendly.”
