Matt was professional, timely, informative about the loan process, responsive to all our questions, and enjoyable to work with. He offered a competitive rate and the process was simple and efficient. While other circumstances led to us not needing the loan in the end, he was very gracious and supportive throughout. I would highly recommend him!

Matt helped us purchase our home and was prompt in responding and answering each question with excellent clarity. He's well seasoned in his profession and is very knowledgeable. Matt is very pro-active and forward-thinking, and that, to me, is vital when working with a mortgage lender. Matt took the time to understand where we were at, make sure everything was done accurately, and was quick to move the process along. The refinance we did with Matt not long after our original mortgage saved us thousands, and he proactively started that process with us. That shows me he looks at the market and is aware of his clients. Highly recommend.

Matt and his team did an amazing job helping me buy my dream duplex. In this market, time is of the essence. My situation was anything but standard: I own a number of businesses and my income is split up between, rental income , salaries and dividends. I needed a pre-approval in the afternoon the day before a major holiday. We got pre-approved on time and were able to submit the successful offer on the holiday. They patiently explained everything helped me through the process. Here I am 2 months after closing, having a question about the loan. Matt spend 30 minutes with me explaining everything...although his company has nothing to do with servicing my loan. Great customer service! I highly recommend them.

Matt and Danny and the rest of the team we're awesome! I was a first time home buyer and didn't know what to expect. But Matt made the entire loan process simple and easy. This made my home buying experience less stressful and allowed me to continue my day to day life without feeling overwhelmed. My husband and I had an exceptional experience working with Matt and rest of O2 team (shout out to Danny) to fund and close on our first home. Matt is very knowledgeable and a consummate professional. He encourages you to ask questions (no such thing as a d*** question during a process like this) to ensure you understand and feel comfortable with your decisions from the beginning to close. It took us 1 year from the start of our search in this challenging market and Matt stayed available throughout, he even had us come in to make sure we fully understood what we're financially capable of within our comforts to better focus our search. Lastly, Matt and team played a huge part in us being the winning offer, because of their agility and ability to close significantly faster than the standard 30 day terms. Highly recommend and will to our friends that are looking to purchase their first home.

As first time home buyers, the sheer idea of buying a house can be overwhelming. From day 1, Matt and his team were patient, thorough more than willing to help answer (and re-answer) all our novice questions. We left Matt's office confident that if/when we bought a home, O2 would be our lender. Then we found a house... It was a brand new build in Hollister, CA. The builder makes it seem like going with their lender is the only logical, economical choice because of the "credit" they give you towards your closing costs. Needless to say, we drank the kool-aid and signed on the (many) dotted lines. Matt was understanding and even offered to be a second pair of eyes if anything about the contract was confusing. What a guy! Fast forward 6.5 months, we are about to close, and I reach out to Matt jusssttt to make sure we're actually getting a decent deal. THIS CALL SAVED US $100,000. As it turns out, O2's rates were better, their fees were lower and the "credit" we thought we were getting is immediately erased by a fee they charge, so it's a total wash. Matt and his team worked round the clock to make sure we were still able to close on time, which we did. They were prompt, considerate and meticulous. My only regret is not going back to Matt and his team sooner. Whether you are a first-timer like us, or a seasoned home buyer, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Matt Falconer, Danny Schaezlein and the team at 02 Mortgage. We are life-long customers!

Matthew and his team did a great job! They are both polite and professional. To outbid other buyers contending for our dream house, we offered a very short time for close to the seller. Matthew tried his best to pull in the schedule and got everything ready as soon as possible. The loan worked out so smooth and we won the deal! In the bidding process Matthew also worked closely with our buyer agent to communicate with the listing agent, trying to get as much information for us. It's a fantastic experience working with Matt and O2 Mortgage!

I first encountered Matt when I found that my credit union was not offering a competitive rate for a home loan. My real estate agent recommended him and O2 mortgage because of their flexibility and excellent work. I had a fantastic experience working with Matt! He was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that I felt respected and that my needs were met. With his help and advice, I was able to close on my first home, despite a rigorous timeline imposed by the seller and hefty requirements set by the underwriters. It was a low-stress experience for a huge life change, and I will always be grateful that Matt was the one on the job. I will be recommending him to everyone!

Was really pleased with the service that O2 provides. In particular Matt Falconer went above and beyond his role; making sure that my wife and I went into a loan that was affordable and within our budget. He was also a phone call away and replied back whenever I had bouts of trepidation. The paperwork process was smooth and the many parties involved were on the same page. Months later, he had contacted me again and helped me through a smooth process of a refinance. O2 mortgage is not just a one time thing and for that I'm appreciative.

In April of 2017, my wife and I considered buying our own home, our landlord had just raised the rent by $500 per month. We thought, might as well buy now, our rent was close to a mortgage payment. We consulted with a friend in the real estate business and she recommended we see Matt Falconer at O2 Mortgage. I went in, sat with Matt and he was incredible. He asked me what I was looking for in terms of mortgage payment, he said.. you may qualify for a lot more than you borrow, but its more about what you are comfortable paying. He started working the numbers, showed the tax breaks we would get from owning the house and in the end, the monthly cost of owning vs renting was similar. A few months later, we made the decision to buy a home, and used O2 mortgage. Matt and Danny were great about keeping us informed on the process, would provide us almost daily updates on where the loan was, what needed to be done and more important, what challenges we may face and how to get by them. In today's market, sellers call the shots and want the simplest, cleanest loan - I wanted to use a VA Loan as they had better rates and 20% down wasn't mandatory. Once our offer was accepted, I asked my realtor and Matt if we could switch from conventional loan to a VA Loan, both thought it was good idea, we we changed gears. A few days later, the seller's agent informs us that they would not sign off on a VA Loan, that it wasn't as simple as the conventional loan we had stated we would use. Ok, so we stopped, regrouped and Matt offered to do the Conventional Loan and within 30 days of closing, we could switch over to VA Loan and that he would absorb some of the cost. One week into this, Matt and I were talking about the extra expenses that would result from doing a refi and he said, I just don't understand why we can't do both loans at the same time, do a VA Loan and Conventional Loan simultaneously - the buyer would be assured that if VA Loan wasn't funded, that we would use conventional loan. I got with my real estate agent and spoke to him about this, we had to get him on-board with this idea so that he could sell it to the sellers agent (keep in mind, they had already said No to changing loan types). After a few back and forth, the seller agreed to sign off on a VA Loan. One week into the loan process, a closing date 3 weeks away and now we start working on a VA Loan. Matt and O2 kicked it into high gear and had everything ready in 2 weeks, to include a new termite report. We signed all documents about 4 days before scheduled closing date and the process was as stress free as you could make it. Matt was/is a man of his word, if he said he would do something, he did. Another financial institute had a better VA rate and Matt said he would match it -- and HE DID. I cannot begin to say how much a person word means to me, contracts and documents are fine, but the true character of a person is his word and his integrity to honor it. Matt made the loan process very personal, not a transaction. He cared about our comfort level with the loan, worked the numbers to show me/us that loan would keep us at my desired range of comfort. He took the time to call me late in the evening to answer my questions, to put me at ease when I thought things were going bad. Matt overall was just awesome. The 5 stars ratings that have at O2 are not given, but earned. We have now been in our new home for two weeks. Looking back, I'm sure we could have purchased our home through another mortgage company, but I'm positive that the process would not have been as stress free and as simple as it was with O2. Thank you Matt, Danny and the rest of the behind the scenes people, you made a big difference in our home buying experience.

Why do people still use banks? This credit union is all about the local dollar. Great service and location. I've been a member here for years. I would never go back to a bank.

Absolutely terrific customer service! Really, the employees are always very friendly and helpful. Got a great rate on my auto loan as well. They put my other bank (Wells Fargo) to shame.
