$1.50 for an outstanding hot dog + soda. And they sell a bunch of stuff besides. I love our Costco, but in Santa Cruz I buy tires at Prior's.

This review is for Dee the customer service queen. We came to Costco for an air conditioner and saw the perfect couch and it was on sale! We made plan to come back the next day with a truck. Dee overheard our conversation and looked up some information that we weren't aware of - it was the last day of the sale! She followed us halfway across the store to let us know. We were trying to find a way to get a truck asap when Dee came to the rescue again! Some other customers were also buying one of the same couches. She spoke with them and found out they have a truck. She asked them if they would be willing to help us out and they said yes! I couldn't believe the kindness and awareness of Dee. Thank you so much!!

For what they stock and sell it’s the best department store in the USA (maybe the world)

I went to Costco last Friday to pick up my scripts. It took about 30 minutes for the pharmacist to fill my prescriptions. Fast and well stocked pharmacy.

Been to plenty of Costco stores all over the US. This place has the most unfriendly and unhelpful employees anywhere.

the store very stocked.
But to consume inside, two or more must go, one buys and the other waits in line for delivery, which takes a long time.

Save yourself the embarrassment of trying to buy liquor with an out of state ID here. Staff is poorly trained on their own processes and does not seem to have a surefire way to check if an ID is real. You'd think in a college town that they'd have a better system for spotting fake IDs than taking several cards from you so they can look at them really hard. Get a machine maybe? A manager took my ID, membership card, and my credit card into a back room for about 10 minutes before coming back to tell me that they were uncomfortable with my purchasing a single bottle of wine, along with the rest of my grocery purchase. Mind you, I'm over 30. The entire ordeal was incredibly embarrassing and a waste of my time, and now I have to worry that they've also stolen my information to some degree. What were you doing with so much of my personal information held hostage in a back room? Shady, unprofessional, and uninformed seems to be how they do things here. A woefully negative experience for my first time shopping here after purchasing a membership. I have half a mind to cancel the whole thing on principle.

Full disclosure, I work for a different Costco location, so my standards are different than the average member.
Shopped on a Saturday afternoon. Despite being really busy and the parking lot being full, there were plenty of carts available.
Walking through the store, navigating traffic is always brutal, especially on a weekend. I was incredibly surprised at how clean the floor and aisles were. Kudos to their maintenance team. Weekends with demos mean people get lazy and toss trash wherever, but the floor was immaculate.
I was also impressed with how blocked down and maintenanced the aisles and cold boxes were. Everything looked shopable without empty boxes blocking product.
Unfortunately the deli was out of rotisserie chickens, but it’s incredibly difficult keeping them in stock on weekends. The demand is so high and there are o my so many batches the ovens can handle.
The floor has a good presence of employees if one needed assistance finding anything.
Despite the crowd, the front end was pumping on all cylinders and no more than two deep when we arrived to pay. Only real negative to our visit was our cashier. She seemed like she didn’t want to be there. She didn’t greet us or thank us for shopping. I boxed our $400 order but never heard a peep out of the cashier. This bothered me bc I am a former front end manager and member service is priority one at the registers.

Costco is amazing.. have a purpose and a plan with a list. Don't get caught up in the commercialized products. You'll buy stuff that you don't need $600 afterwards and weeks later... (And I needed this.. why?)?
