Wouldn't it be nice to see some of the items you need and want so much, to be in a single serving so that people can choose small or big portions for the whole thing about being single i really don't ? think everything just the items that are packaged in the back ? any way to all the single people who shop at Costco who else agrees a few things would be nice!!

Thank you Maddie (hopefully that's how you spell your rename)! I was there earlier returning a bunch of clothing I bought online. When I got home I realized one of the items didn't make it onto the return. I called in and Maddie said as able to locate the item that was missed and reimbursed it. No need to drive back down. Thank you!!!!!

We make it our regular Friday night pizza party. Where else can you get a large pepperoni pizza for under $10? Way better than Little Caesar pizza too. They make it easy to order and pay at a kiosk. We get a pizza and two sodas for under $12.

Step it up, Costco of Santa Cruz. I waited 1/2 an hour to purchase a battery in the tires area. The kid, "Scotty" just kept walking past us, ignoring us. There were 5 of us waiting for various battery issues. I had already specified and grabbed the battery I needed and continued being ignored. Finally, I walked past the darn register and one of the tire installers started yelling at me. I said, "I have been waiting 1/2 an hour to buy a battery and the kid up here just keeps walking by and ignoring everyone..." I walked back to the waiting area. The guy who yelled at me comes to a register and starts ringing up someone else. Made me wait....Finally the kid who kept ignoring us rings me up. 90 minutes to buy a battery...not cool.

Giving a very low rating due to very rood service from a gentleman named Jonathan this morning. He was unnecessarily argumentative and trying to provoke an issue. We shared that we wanted to split the bill on two payments and that one transaction was what was still in the cart...and he then wanted to argue over whether the second transaction was in the cart or what was already on the belt. Was very weird. He seemed to be dealing with something because as soon as we got in line he looked very upset and angry. I am posting this here in the hopes that management can offer him some coaching or check in with him on how he is doing. Was weird and aggressive and unprofessional.

Just had the worst experience of my life at this Costco due to a hyper aggressive employee named "Lorenzo". After a long day of work on the west side I decided to stop by Costco for a quick bite on my way home. As I wasn't planning on shopping, I entered through the exit line to head directly to the food court. I was asked by a receipt checker to present my membership, which I did and then I continued to the food court. About 30 seconds later a cart wrangler named Alfredo came up to me while I was entering my order hassling me to show my membership again. I told him that I didn't actually need a membership to eat at the food court. He left and found a checker/stocker named Lorenzo and they paced around hawking and pointing at me as I waited on my food. As I walked out the exit, Lorenzo and Alfredo were outside waiting like they were about to jump me or something. Lorenzo then told me that I needed to show my membership again (third time I was asked after I already showed it, purchased my food and was exiting). I told him that I didn't actually need a membership to go to the food court, just like you don't need one to buy prescriptions or alcohol. This set him off in a confrontational rage where he started arguing with me. He proceeded to aggressively press into my personal space as I backed away multiple times before I told him to back up. I then asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came out, Lorenzo was still quivering mad and the manager had to send him away. With a half eaten hot dog in my hand, I explained the situation to both of the managers that showed up and asked them to review the camera footage and discipline their hyper aggressive and hostile employee. The managers were super cool about it, so kudos to them. But no one whether they are a member or not should have to deal with a belligerent Costco employee in their face. Especially not over a $1.50 hot dog. I think since Costco has been actively ramping up their compliance policy for memberships and they've basically been training their employees to think of their customers as criminals and now they all fancy themselves as Costco cops rather than customer service personnel. I spend a ton of money at Costco every month for my household, buy all of my TVs, appliances, food, clothes and booze from there and this is the way they decide to treat me all because I walked in a different door. Do better Costco.

Friday June 23 @ 5 pm. Super short line and cheap gas. Can't ask for anything more. For some reason this Costco consistently has cheaper gas compared to the Monterey Costco. Today prices were $4.15.

So this Costco has helped with my family for over 15 years. In what ways you may ask, well simple, the food, the furniture, and membership is what made it worth it to stick with costco. I (18 male) and my family have been living in Santa Cruz and every time we go to get groceries, its because this Costco specifically has everything we need. When entering the place, we're always greeted by the workers and everything is always so organized! From tech, to staff, to even the clothing!! However, when we look to buy food, we always get it in bulk and when checking out, we're always greeted by the nicest workers!!! Heck, even when going to the food court, it's like going to Chick-fil-a but on a discounted amount! Anyways, I realized that the is review can get pretty long with what the membership+furniture have done for us so if you need anything, and I mean ANYTHING, try this Costco

This Costco gas station is consistently lower than any other in the area. It's typically 30 cents cheaper than the location 30 miles south in Monterey. I have no idea why. Santa Cruz appears to be a much more remote location. Either way, because it's the best price for the gallon in town, there are always lines. And the location of this Costco is off the beaten path from where you're likely going in Santa Cruz so you'll need to weigh out if the pit stop is worth it.

I've spent most of my life living in Silicon Valley so the Sunnyvale and Mtn. View locations were my primary stores. Both had horrible parking problems. You either had to get there before they opened and wait in your car or go right before closing to get good parking. Don't even get me started on the gas lines at Sunnyvale. So when I moved to Scotts Valley my Costco experience improved 110%. I can always get decent parking, the lines have NEVER had more than 1-2 people in front of me and even when the samples came back after COVID there weren't a dozen sample zombies abandoning their carts and clogging the isles like at the other Costcos. This Santa Cruz location is the best!! Also the gas lines are not bad if you come at the right time and it goes pretty fast. A+ . Oh, and tonight I saw a covered gazebo and fire pit sofa and chair set that I'm probably going to get tomorrow.

I've been going to this Costco for 2 years and have never written a review because it's just fine. The only Costco in Santa Cruz so there's really no other option. But today the cashier was extremely upset about not getting tickets to a concert and took it out on my groceries. I noticed he broke open my peppers from throwing them in my cart, dented the frozen boxes and threw a box when I asked for one. To be honest I'm glad he didn't get his tickets and I hope he isn't able to ever get them.

Gas station- barely any lines! Win win! I wouldn't be surprised if everyone here had an electric car. I didn't shop inside. Came here on vacation.. Took the family to the snack bar. Self pay kiosk with computer screen that is easy to use. $.25 cent sur charge on cups when you buy a ice cream or sundae. Which makes NO sense when they are giving free plastic water cups for free. Spoons are paper too! Totally takes away the experience eating their delicious ice cream on a smooth service that you can only get from a plastic spoon/silverware. It didn't break the bank. I know it's not Cost Co's fault. I believe it's a city code they are following and they are paving the way for a healthier environment. But a surcharge on a cup? I'm sure you can't BYOC due to health codes.... I wish Cost Co could have gotten a little more creative and make an option for the ice cream to be served in a waffle cone.
