“A pretty nice thrift store ! Found what I needed quickly. They have a 50% off sale every 2nd Saturday ! Good stuff. Reasonable prices on most stuff. Fairly good quality items. They also have a return policy for store credit if your item doesn't work or has a problem. Great ! A great resource for the Santa Cruz area. When I need something, I always check Gray Bears first !”

“Wonderful! We had a lil baby hummingbird that fell and we thought he was dead so I called NAR and they told me to look at his eyes if they are moving/blinking at first they weren’t so I hung up all sad. Then about 30 minutes later I see him moving his head around! I called back again and they had someone come over to my work within 20 minutes! I was still sad and asked if they thought he was save able and she said they had great people there they could save him! Oh I was so happy. I asked if the y could call me with the outcome and she said they usually do! Thank you!”

“It's a Friday and I'm here when most people are at work. Despite the cold weather, the few people I have encountered make the place warm. I'm happy to see signs expressing openness to diversity. I was also glad to see a bookstore, something I know is dying in some if not most parts of the world.”

“Wonderful little soup kitchen that does the best job making each lunch with dignity and compassion despite being Catholic.Surprisingly, Catholic churches these days seem to be the only Christian Churches who aren't completely self-absorbed.”

“It is a great place to receive help and find different programs to fulfill your needs. You can get medical help, housing or even help with recovery. It's really great the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are drugs in the area and all the people around the area bring it down. If you're a recovering addict like myself and my husband it really tests you each and everyday. So if you're not really strong in your recovery then I would steer clear and if you are and are having a bad day stay away. If you're looking for that start or opportunity to change your life here is the best place to start.”
