I popped in because I saw that they had plants. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted even though there was only one other person in the store. I picked out 2 plants. One plant was $13 and the other was $27. When I went to pay for them, the lady that was at the register informed me that one was a specialty plant and that was why it was priced the way it was. I knew exactly what the price was for each plant prior to going to pay for them since they each had a price tag. Her comment caught me off guard. Did she make that comment because she thought I couldn’t afford it? After I left and met up with my husband he informed me that he had noticed her demeanor change as soon as we walked into the store and that’s why he had decided to wait for me outside.
After my experience at this store, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Botanic and Luxe is beautifully curated. I recently found a few items while shopping around and ended up having them emailed to me. The staff was sooo sweet and helpful! My package came today with a sweet handwritten card. The B&L team is doing a great job!!

I called B and L today to see if they would help me create a Mother’s Day gift box for my daughter who lives in Santa Cruz. Shannon said she would be happy to put something together for me. I sent her photos of my daughter and described her style. Shannon put together an amazing gift box and sent me photos of her creation. It was perfect. I absolutely love this cute little spot in Santa Cruz. I have a little tradition that every time I come here I buy a new plant. The day I bought the cutest little mini monstera. They also have a wonderful variety of different artisan crafts and very delightful scented oils. If you want to uplift your mood, come into botanic and lux. In a good mood immediately with all their soothing music and they're gorgeous atmosphere. The service is always very friendly and I plan to patron this place very often.

I am super disappointed because it was my first time shopping at this store about a month and a half ago. The location is good, and the products are really nice. I wasn't expecting top-notch inventory, but I wanted to support my local businesses. So, I purchased three plants. I'm an experienced plant grower (I have proof to back that up) and I know what I'm doing. With these three plants, I followed all the right steps. However, my Monstera Deliciosa has been a complete disappointment. It's not the plant's fault, nor is it my fault. I feel like it's the fault of this so-called plant boutique. I tried calling to find a solution, but to no avail. Overall, it's just very disappointing. I have attached two photos below. One is of the Monstera I purchased from Botanic & Luxe, and the other is a Monstera I bought the same day from Safeway. You can be the judge. I've spent more money trying to save this plant than I actually spent on the plant itself. It's overpriced and of low quality.
